Description

A lipopeptide for the look of expression lines

BoNT L is bought by brands that already carry a classic expression-line serum and want a second peptide with a different backbone. The published INCI for this trade active is Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-19. Some catalog notes say Tripeptide-19, so use Hexapeptide-19 as the published name and confirm the full INCI, including the vehicle, on the CoA. CAS is N/A because no number has been verified for this grade. The page supplies a ready solution, so there is no dry peptide to weigh.

Not Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, and not only for eyes

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 Solution is Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Acetyl Octapeptide-3 Solution is Acetyl Octapeptide-3. BoNT L is a separate sequence with a palmitoyl chain, so label it on its own. An older template framed it as an eye-only puffiness peptide; that was wrong. It suits face leave-ons aimed at forehead, frown and crow's feet lines. See the others in our peptide solutions.

Formulating with it

Phase and temperature

Add it in cool-down, below 40 °C, with gentle mixing, and avoid long holds at high temperature. Blend it into the water phase of serums and gels, or into a finished emulsion after it has cooled.

Compatibility

Avoid strong acid exfoliants and strong oxidizers in the same product, and check clarity after addition.

Level

Take the use level from the supplier documentation for your lot.

Product types that suit it

Expression-line serums, forehead and frown-line creams, eye-area creams and light gel moisturizers.

Pairing ideas

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, sodium hyaluronate, glycerin and panthenol. Add each active separately and check clarity, odor and viscosity after each addition instead of premixing several actives in one beaker.

Example architecture

Water, glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, BoNT L solution at the supplier level, a second expression-line peptide if wanted, a chelator and a preservative. The level comes from the CoA, so no gram recipe is shown here.

Claims

Describe skin where expression lines look softer and smoother with regular use. Keep claims cosmetic and tied to appearance. Any before-and-after statement needs a test on the finished product, not on the raw material.

Testing the finished product

Run a stability check on the finished product at room temperature, at 40 °C and in a fridge for several weeks, and watch color, odor, clarity, viscosity and pH. Check the product in its final pack too, since pumps, droppers and jars expose it to air differently. A preservative challenge test on the final product is the standard step before launch.

Lot handling and storage

Record appearance and pH on arrival, compare them with the CoA, and keep the CoA with your batch records so each finished batch can be traced to its lot. Store tightly closed, cool and away from light, and respect the shelf life on the CoA.

Labeling and documents

Write the INCI exactly as the CoA for your lot gives it, in the order the supplier lists it, and keep the CAS line the same as the CoA, including N/A or Mixture where that is what it says. Keep the CoA with your batch records. If your market needs an SDS or a full ingredient breakdown, ask for it before you scale so the paperwork matches the batch you buy.

Ordering

It is sold as a raw material for cosmetic formulation, not as a finished consumer product. Start with a small pack for bench trials and scale once your stability checks pass. It ships from Florida, usually within 1 to 2 business days, in the pack sizes shown above, and US shipping is free on orders of $50 or more.
