Description
Matrixyl 3000 as the original manufacturer material
Matrixyl 3000 is the trade name Sederma gave to its pairing of two palmitoylated peptides, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, delivered in a glycerin, butylene glycol and carbomer gel. The supplier specification sells that original raw material in the manufacturer composition, with the lot certificate of analysis, for formulators who need the branded name on their ingredient sourcing file, on a retailer questionnaire or in a claim dossier that cites the manufacturer data. It sits in our peptide solutions range because it arrives as a ready dispersion rather than a dry peptide.
Why brands ask for the branded grade
Many contract manufacturers and indie brands work from a brief that names Matrixyl 3000 directly. A marketing team may want to print the name on the carton, a buyer may need the original supplier documents, or a formula may have been stability tested with this exact carrier. In those cases an INCI-matched material is not a drop-in swap on paper, even when the peptides are the same. When the brief only asks for the two INCI peptides, the more economical IO two-peptide liquid on this site is the practical choice. Keeping both options visible lets a developer choose by documentation need rather than by guesswork.
What the two peptides do in a formula
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 is a short glycine, histidine and lysine sequence with a palmitic acid tail, and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 is a four amino acid sequence carrying the same fatty tail. The palmitoyl group makes both peptides more compatible with the skin surface and with emulsions. In cosmetic terms the pair is used for firmer-looking, smoother-looking skin and for the look of fine lines, which is why it appears in night serums, eye creams and neck products. Manufacturer study figures belong to the manufacturer literature and should not be printed as a promise on a finished product.
How to add it
Weigh the solution into the water phase of a gel or serum, or into an emulsion after it has cooled below 40 °C. Stir gently until uniform. Low single-digit percentages are the usual working range for this complex; the lot documents give the manufacturer guidance. The carrier already contains glycerin, so reduce added humectant slightly in very light formulas. A finished pH roughly between 5 and 7 suits most peptide serums.
Compatibility notes
The complex works with hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide, other peptide actives, most gums and the common preservative systems. Keep strong acids, high levels of free alcohol and long heating away from it. Polysorbate 20 in the carrier helps it spread through emulsions, so it rarely needs a separate solubilizer.
Appearance and specification
The material is a clear to slightly hazy, mildly viscous liquid with a faint characteristic odor. The full INCI, the lot number and the manufacturing date are printed on the certificate that ships with it.
Recipe: firming eye gel, 100 g
Water 82.9 g, glycerin 4 g, Matrixyl 3000 solution 4 g, panthenol 2 g, sodium hyaluronate solution (1%) 5 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 1 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 1 g, sodium citrate solution 0.1 g. Disperse the cellulose in water and hydrate it, add glycerin, panthenol and the hyaluronate, then stir in the peptide solution and preservative once cool. Adjust pH to 5.5 to 6.0 and fill into airless pumps.
Storage and documents
Keep the container tightly closed, cool and out of direct light, and use it within the shelf life printed on the lot certificate. Every shipment carries the certificate of analysis that matches the batch you receive, so the original supplier lot number can be traced in your own production records.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the original Matrixyl 3000 from Sederma?
Yes. This listing is the branded raw material from the manufacturer, sold in its original composition with a lot certificate of analysis.
What is the difference from the IO two-peptide liquid on this site?
Both cards carry the same two INCI peptides. This listing is the original branded material at the branded price; the IO version is the INCI-named version sold under our own name.
Can it go into a hot emulsion?
No. Add it to the cooled emulsion or the water phase below 40 °C and mix gently.
Does it thicken the formula?
Slightly. The carrier contains carbomer, so very thin toners may gain a touch of body at higher inputs.
