Preservation of the finished product

A preservative-free raw material shifts responsibility to your formula. Choose a broad-spectrum system suitable for your pH and product type, and confirm it with a challenge test before launch. Original recipe: after-sun comfort gel, 100 g

Phase A: distilled water 72.20 g, glycerin 3.00 g, panthenol 2.00 g, allantoin 0.20 g. Phase B: hydroxyethylcellulose 0.80 g predispersed in propanediol 2.00 g; stir into An until clear. Phase C below 40 °C: IO After-Sun Care Active Liquid at the level on the CoA, here 3.00 g; aloe vera juice 15.00 g; menthyl lactate 0.20 g dissolved in a little propanediol; broad-spectrum preservative 1.20 g; fragrance 0.40 g. Mix gently and adjust pH to about 5.5.

Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
