Description
A copper-associated scalp peptide
This listing is a commercial scalp-care peptide solution. Supplier notes describe a copper-associated tripeptide built from alanine, histidine and lysine (AHK). It is used in scalp serums, tonics and leave-on hair products aimed at a healthier-looking scalp and fuller-looking hair. The INCI is confirmed on the CoA, and CAS is shown as N/A because no registry number was verified during our review.
AHK is not GHK
AHK and GHK differ by one amino acid: alanine in place of glycine. Both are known for forming copper complexes, but they are different peptides. Do not label this material as Copper Tripeptide-1 or GHK-Cu; use the INCI stated on the CoA. For face serums with the classic copper story, choose GHK-Cu.
Formulating scalp products
Process
Add the solution in the water phase during cool-down, below 40 °C, and mix gently.
Base
Scalp products should dry quickly and leave hair clean: light water-based tonics, sprays and gels. If the peptide is copper-bound, handle it like other copper complexes and avoid strong chelators and low pH. Check color and pH over time. Take the use level from the supplier documentation for your lot.
Pairing ideas
AHK pairs well with Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3 and Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1 in a multi-peptide scalp serum, plus panthenol for comfort. Add each active separately in cool-down.
Example: multi-peptide scalp serum architecture
Water, a little glycerin, panthenol, AHK peptide solution and a second hair peptide, with a validated preservative. Exact levels come from the supplier documentation. A dropper or nozzle applicator places the serum on the scalp.
Claims
Keep claims cosmetic: a healthier-looking scalp, fuller-looking and stronger-feeling hair.
Lot handling and storage
Record appearance and pH on arrival, compare them with the CoA, and keep the CoA with your batch records so each finished batch can be traced to its peptide lot. Store tightly closed, cool and away from light.
Qualifying a trade scalp peptide
Because the INCI is not published, request the CoA, safety data sheet and full INCI before launch. On arrival, compare appearance, color and pH with the CoA. A copper-bound peptide may show a faint blue tint; record it and watch it during stability. Run a compatibility test in your scalp base and a stability study in the final packaging, at room temperature and 40 °C, before scaling.
Ordering
It ships from Florida, usually within 1 to 2 business days, in the pack sizes shown above, and US shipping is free on orders of $50 or more. Compare all peptide solutions.
