Description

This ingredient in short

IO Eye Care Active Liquid is a liquid concentrate made for the eye contour and sold by the milliliter. Our product record states that it is water-soluble and goes directly into the water phase at cool-down. The supplier CoA for each lot lists the full INCI, active content and recommended level; we keep this page free of composition data we cannot verify for every lot. The focus here is on building reliable, comfortable eye products with a liquid active of this type.

What a regenerating eye product promises

In cosmetic language, regenerating means helping skin look renewed, rested and smoother. Around the eyes, customers notice tiredness first: a dull look under the eyes, fine lines at the corners and a slightly puffy look in the morning. A dedicated eye active lets a brand speak to all three in one product while keeping the formula short and gentle.

Applications

Night eye creams, morning eye gels, metal-ball roll-ons, under-eye masks and multi-use eye and lip balms with a water phase are typical. This ingredient sits well with Eye Contour Complex in a two-step routine and with Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 Powder for fine lines. Find other eye-area materials in our peptides catalog.

How to use it

Finish the base and cool it below 40 °C. Weigh this ingredient into the batch and mix gently. Do not reheat afterwards. Keep the pH between about 5.5 and 7.0. Use the level given on the CoA and supplier documentation.

Formulating gently for the eye area

The skin around the eyes is thin and reacts quickly to irritants. Leave out fragrance and essential oils, keep ethanol out of the formula, and choose a preservative system validated for eye-area use. Light emollients such as squalane and caprylic/capric triglyceride feel comfortable without migrating into the eyes. Test the final product with a small group, including contact lens wearers, before launch.

Night versus day textures

A night eye cream can be richer, with shea butter and ceramides, because it does not need to sit under makeup. A day gel should be light, quick to absorb and compatible with concealer. If you sell both, use this ingredient at the same level in each so the routine is easy to explain, and differentiate the products by texture and partner ingredients.

Compatibility

Liquid eye actives are generally compatible with caffeine, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, allantoin, plant waters and peptides. Avoid strong acids, strong bases, oxidizers and long heating. Check viscosity of gels after adding the concentrate.

Keeping the batch clean

Eye products are used close to the eyes for months, so hygiene in production matters. Sanitize vessels and tools, keep the concentrate closed between weighings and fill on the day of production. Airless pumps or tubes protect the product from fingers during use. ## Characteristics
