Description
About this ingredient
IO Anti-Wrinkle Care Active Liquid is a peptide supplied as a ready liquid concentrate for appearance-focused cosmetic skin care. Supplier documentation lists it for all kinds of appearance-focused cosmetic and anti-wrinkle products and for products that improve the appearance of the skin. Our product record confirms that it is water-soluble, added at cool-down and comfortable in a mild to slightly alkaline pH window, which is slightly higher than for many peptides. The full INCI and peptide content are printed on the CoA for every lot.
The anti-wrinkle customer
Fine lines and wrinkles are the most common reason people start buying appearance-focused cosmetic products. The typical customer is over thirty, has tried basic moisturizers and now wants a product with a clear active story. Peptides are well known to this audience, and a named peptide on the front of the pack makes the product easy to choose.
Product formats
Concentrated anti-wrinkle serums, day creams, night creams, eye contour fluids and sheet mask serums are the main formats. This ingredient works well with Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 for expression lines and with Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 for a complementary peptide story. More ideas are in our peptides catalog.
Processing and pH
Prepare the base, cool it below 40 °C and add this ingredient with gentle stirring. Avoid reheating. Because the preferred pH window is mild to slightly alkaline, avoid pairing it with strong acids in the same product, and measure the final pH carefully. Follow the CoA for the use level.
Peptide cocktails
Experienced customers like products with several peptides, each covering a different part of the appearance-focused cosmetic story. A clear gel serum with three peptides, a humectant and a soothing ingredient makes a premium product. Explain the role of each peptide in simple words.
Separating acids and peptides
Exfoliating acids are popular in appearance-focused cosmetic routines but work best at low pH. Since this ingredient prefers a milder window, recommend using acid products in the evening on alternate days and the peptide serum in the morning, or place them in separate steps of the routine.
Day and night
In the morning, the serum layers under a moisturizer and sunscreen. At night, a richer cream with the same peptide supports comfort while the skin rests. Offering both gives customers a complete routine.
Claims and testing
Surface profile measurements of wrinkles and consumer perception studies on the finished product support claims such as smoother-looking skin, reduced look of fine lines and younger-looking complexion.
Compatibility notes
Water-soluble peptides of this type are generally comfortable with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol and most botanical extracts. Keep strong oxidizers out of the batch and run a stability program at room temperature, at 40 °C and through freeze-thaw cycles in the final pack.
Packaging
Airless pumps and opaque bottles protect peptide products from air and light. A dropper suits concentrated serums used in small amounts, while a pump works better for creams.
