How smoothing works

Hair looks smooth when the cuticle scales lie flat and reflect light evenly. Humidity, heat and brushing lift the scales and cause frizz. Oil-based actives coat the surface, reduce friction and help hair look sleek and shiny.

Original recipe: smoothing hair serum, 50 g

Isoamyl laurate 18.00 g, caprylic/capric triglyceride 12.00 g, squalane 10.00 g, argan oil 5.00 g, Phyto'liss 3.00 g as an example level per CoA, tocopherol 0.50 g, fragrance 0.50 g, coco-caprylate 1.00 g. Mix all ingredients at room temperature until clear and fill into amber glass.

Heat styling

Applied before blow-drying, a smoothing serum reduces friction from the brush and helps hair dry sleek. After flat ironing, a drop on the ends tames flyaways. Test on tresses with repeated heat cycles to confirm that the product does not leave hair greasy or stiff and that shine holds over the day.

Curly hair

Curly and coily hair loses moisture easily and tends to frizz. Richer oils with this active, applied to wet hair, help define curls and keep them smooth.

Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
