Description
MAX-LISS at a glance
MAX-LISS is a water-soluble liquid hair active for smoothing and shine. The supplier lists shampoos and conditioners for smoothness and shine, restoring and moisturizing masks, leave-in styling and heat-protective products, and professional smoothing and lamination services. It is added to the water phase during cool-down. Confirm the full INCI and dose on the certificate of analysis.
The smoothing trend
Sleek, glossy hair is one of the most requested results in hair care. Salon smoothing services are popular but can be harsh and expensive. Many consumers now want home products that give a smoother, sleeker look between salon visits, or instead of them. Lamination, a salon service that coats the hair for extra gloss, has also moved into home care as masks and leave-ins. MAX-LISS supports both stories.
How smoothing products work
Frizz appears when the hair cuticle is raised and the hair absorbs moisture from the air. Smoothing products flatten and coat the cuticle, reduce moisture uptake and make hair fibers align. The result is less frizz, better shine and easier styling. Heat from a flat iron or dryer helps set the effect in leave-in products.

How to use it
Add MAX-LISS to the water phase below 40 °C and stir until uniform. Keep conditioners and leave-ins slightly acidic, around pH 4.5 to 5.0, to support a flat cuticle. In shampoos, add the active after the surfactants and before thickening.
Partners
Smoothing products benefit from film formers and conditioning proteins. Hydrolyzed keratin PG-propyl silanetriol adds a strengthening film, and silk amino acids give softness and shine. More concentrates are listed in the actives catalog.

Distilled water 81.80 g, MAX-LISS 5.00 g, cetearyl alcohol 3.50 g, behentrimonium chloride 2.00 g, amodimethicone emulsion 2.00 g, glycerin 2.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 0.50 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 1.00 g, lactic acid solution 0.70 g, fragrance 0.50 g. Heat the water with the cellulose and the fatty phase to 75 °C, emulsify, cool to below 40 °C, add MAX-LISS, panthenol, silicone emulsion, preservative and fragrance, and adjust the pH to about 4.8.
Who it is for
Consumers with frizzy, wavy or coarse hair who want a sleek look are the main audience. Women who straighten their hair with heat every day also need smoothing and protection in one step. A three-step routine of shampoo, mask and blow-dry cream gives the strongest result.
Claim wording
Use wording such as smoother, sleeker, glossier, less frizz and easier styling. Avoid wording that suggests permanent straightening or a change in hair structure, because that belongs to a different product category.
Dose guidance
Follow the technical sheet. Leave-in products use the full recommended level, and rinse-off products may use more.
Testing
Frizz tests on tresses in a humidity chamber, combing force measurements and gloss readings support smoothing and shine wording.
Storage
Store tightly closed in a cool place, away from direct light and heat.
