Formulating with Methiopeptide

Process

Add in the water phase during cool-down, below 40 °C, and mix gently. Methionine contains sulfur and can be sensitive to oxidation, so avoid unnecessary heat and air exposure during processing.

Antioxidant support

Because sulfur-containing amino acids can oxidize, many formulators include an antioxidant and keep headspace low in the final packaging. Watch for odor changes during stability testing; a faint sulfur note is a sign to review processing and packaging.
