Description

A generic route to the Synthe'6 peptide

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 is the INCI name behind one of the best-known line-smoothing peptides, sold in Europe under the Synthe'6 trade grade. Many brands want that exact INCI on their label without paying for the branded raw material. This liquid gives you the same declared peptide at a generic price, with a lot certificate and domestic shipping, so you can launch or reformulate without changing your ingredient list.

What the molecule is

Chemically it is Pal-Lys-Met(O2)-Lys-OH: a lysine, methionine sulfone, lysine sequence carrying a palmitic acid chain, molecular weight about 676 g/mol. The parent KMK motif occurs in collagen VI and laminin, which is why supplier literature links it to the dermal matrix. CAS 1447824-23-8 is the number most spec sheets print; 1101448-24-1 also appears, so copy the one shown on your CoA.

Switching from the branded grade

What stays identical

Your INCI line still reads Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, and the marketing territory is unchanged: forehead lines, crow's feet, skin relief and a denser, more cushioned look.

What to check before converting

Ready solutions differ in carrier and peptide loading, often in the 100 to 300 ppm range. Compare the peptide content on our CoA with the grade you used before and scale the dose so the in-formula peptide stays the same. For a version with a fully published cyclodextrin carrier, see Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 Solution; to dose the dry peptide yourself, see Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 Powder.

Use level, pH and process

Published US and EU specification sheets for ready solutions recommend 2 to 4% of the liquid in creams, serums and lotions, which corresponds to roughly 0.001 to 0.005% pure peptide. Stability is quoted between pH 3.0 and 6.0, so it sits comfortably in most skin-care bases. Add it to the water phase or the finished emulsion below 40 °C, mix gently, and check clarity in very transparent gels because of the palmitoyl tail.

Compatibility and formula partners

Avoid strong oxidizers, prolonged heat and long light exposure in clear packaging. It pairs well with niacinamide, multi-weight hyaluronic acid, ceramides and an expression-line peptide for a two-mechanism serum. Do not confuse it with the classic single matrikine Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 or the two-peptide firming blend of Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7; each carries a different INCI. Further liquid matrikines are collected under peptide solutions.

Claims that stay compliant

Keep wording on appearance, for example lines that look softened or skin that looks smoother with regular use, and base any percentage on a test of your finished product rather than on raw-material literature.

Bottles, shipping and storage

Our Florida warehouse dispatches it in 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 oz bottles, with a lower cost per ounce on each step up. Store sealed, cool and away from light; refrigeration extends shelf life, and the expiry on your CoA is binding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same peptide as in the Synthe'6 trade grade?

It is declared with the same INCI, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38. This is a generic supply, not the branded raw material, so check peptide content on the CoA when converting a formula.

What use level do formulators use?

Ready solutions are typically used at 2 to 4% of the finished product, equal to about 0.001 to 0.005% pure peptide. Confirm against your lot CoA.

What pH range is safe for Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38?

Supplier data cite stability between pH 3.0 and 6.0. Add it below 40 °C in cool-down.

What is its CAS number and sequence?

Pal-Lys-Met(O2)-Lys-OH, CAS 1447824-23-8; 1101448-24-1 also appears in some literature.
