Description
Some ingredients are specialists, and some are generalists that show up across a whole bathroom shelf. IO Emulsion Stabilizer Liquid belongs to the second group: its card lists hair conditioners, shower gels, bath foam, deodorants, alginate masks and emulsions. For a brand with a broad body and hair range, that versatility simplifies purchasing.
Product data
Liquid, water-soluble. Applications from the card: shampoos, balms, hair conditioners, deodorants, shower gels, cream shower gels, shower butters, bath salts and foam, alginate masks and emulsions. The exact INCI, composition, function and recommended level are confirmed on the supplier CoA and technical sheet for each lot.
Reading a broad application list
When an ingredient fits rinse-off cleansers, conditioners and leave-on emulsions alike, it usually plays a supporting role, such as stabilizing, conditioning or improving texture, rather than carrying a single headline claim. Check the supplier documentation to confirm the exact function before you decide which product in your range will feature it.
Product formats
Shower gel and cream shower gel
Everyday cleansers where feel and foam matter.
Hair conditioner
Rinse-off care for soft, easy-to-comb hair.
Bath foam and bath salts
Relaxing bath products for the evening ritual.
Deodorant
A roll-on or spray for daily use.
Alginate mask
A professional peel-off mask mixed with water before use.
Formulating guidance
Add it to the water phase and record viscosity before and after addition, since many helper ingredients shift the thickness of surfactant systems. In shower products, pair it with Polyquaternium-10 for after-feel and D-Panthenol for comfort. In conditioners, IO Conditioning Honey Derivative adds slip. More ingredients are listed under actives.
Working in powders
Bath salts and alginate masks are dry products. Add a liquid ingredient to them in small amounts with good mixing, or spray it onto the dry blend while tumbling, so the blend stays free-flowing. Test caking after a month in the final pack.
Who the products are for
A body and bath range built on one helper ingredient suits family brands and spa lines that want consistent quality across many products.
Claims
Base any claims on supplier data and tests of the finished product. Wording around feel, softness and foam is usually the safest choice.
Testing
Run stability at room temperature and 40 °C, checking viscosity, clarity, pH and odor.
Packaging
Pump bottles for shower gels, jars for salts and alginate powders, roll-ons for deodorants.
Original recipe: cream shower gel, 100 g
Purified water 59.60 g, sodium laureth sulfate solution 25.00 g, cocamidopropyl betaine 8.00 g, glycerin 2.00 g, IO Emulsion Stabilizer Liquid 2.00 g as an example level per CoA, glycol distearate 1.00 g, Polyquaternium-10 0.20 g, panthenol 0.50 g, preservative 0.80 g, fragrance 0.60 g, sodium chloride 0.30 g. Disperse the polymer in water, add surfactants and glycol distearate, then the remaining ingredients. Adjust viscosity with salt and pH to about 5.5.
Range planning
A spa or family brand can build a full bath routine around this ingredient: a cream shower gel, a bath foam, a conditioner and a body emulsion. Shared raw materials reduce the number of items in the warehouse and make quality control simpler, while each product keeps its own fragrance and color.
Batch quality
Record the lot number from the CoA, check appearance and pH on arrival and keep retained samples. Compare viscosity of a standard test base with each new lot so differences are caught before production.
Storage
Keep the container closed in a cool, dark place.
