Description

Tricorexina hydro at a glance

Tricorexina hydro is a water-soluble liquid hair and scalp active. It is designed to nourish the hair root area and support stronger, thicker-looking hair throughout the natural hair cycle. The working pH is 4.5 to 5.5. It is added to the water phase during cool-down. Confirm the full INCI and dose on the certificate of analysis.

The hair cycle

Every hair goes through a cycle: a long growing phase that lasts several years, a short transition phase and a resting phase, after which the hair falls out and a new one starts. At any time, most hairs on the scalp are in the growing phase. Cosmetic hair care supports the look of fuller, stronger hair throughout this cycle.

The name

The name combines the Greek word for hair, trichos, with a word linked to strength and vigor. The word hydro shows that this is a water-soluble version, suited to tonics, lotions and serums.

Formats

Ampoules

How to use it

Add Tricorexina hydro to the water phase below 40 °C and stir until uniform. Keep the final pH between 4.5 and 5.5. Use a light, non-greasy base for leave-on products so the hair does not look flat. Ethanol-free tonics suit sensitive scalps.

Partners

Hair density care often uses several actives. Biotinoyl tripeptide-1 adds a peptide route, and caffeine supports a stimulating scalp story. More concentrates are listed in the actives catalog.

Strengthening scalp lotion recipe, 100 g

Distilled water 84.30 g, Tricorexina hydro 5.00 g, propanediol 4.00 g, glycerin 1.00 g, caffeine 1.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, niacinamide 1.00 g, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil 1.00 g, menthyl lactate 0.20 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 1.00 g, citric acid solution 0.50 g. Dissolve caffeine, panthenol and niacinamide in water, add propanediol and glycerin, solubilize menthyl lactate and add it, then add the active and the preservative below 40 °C and adjust the pH to about 5.0. Fill into bottles with a nozzle applicator.

Who it is for

Men and women with fine, thin or tired-looking hair, people after stressful periods, new mothers and anyone who sees more hair in the brush during seasonal changes form the main audience.

Routine advice

Recommend applying the lotion to a clean, dry or towel-dried scalp once or twice a day, parting the hair in sections and massaging gently for a minute. A three-month course matches the slow pace of the hair cycle. Photos at the start and after each month help consumers see progress.

Claim wording

Use wording such as stronger-looking, thicker-looking, fuller, less breakage and a healthy-looking scalp. Avoid wording about hair growth or hair conditions.

Dose guidance

Follow the technical sheet. Leave-on lotions and ampoules use the full recommended level.

Testing

Hair counts on standardized scalp photos, pull tests and panel evaluation of fullness over three to six months support stronger-looking and fuller wording. Breakage can be measured by collecting hair after a set combing routine.

Storage

Store tightly closed in a cool place, away from direct light and heat.
