Description
Firmness, or turgor, is what makes skin spring back when pressed. It fades with age and shows first on the eyelids, neck and bust. IO Firming and Toning Active Liquid is a liquid concentrate listed for these areas, and also for oily-skin and toning body products.
Product data
Water-soluble liquid active concentrate. PH range 5.0 to 8.0. Applications from the card: anti-age cosmetics, products for skin turgor, skin care for eyelids, neck and bust, care for oily and problem skin, and toning and tightening body products. The full INCI and active content are confirmed on the supplier CoA for each lot.
Two directions
The application list covers two different concepts. One is firming and toning for mature skin on the face, neck and bust. The other is care for oily skin, where a fresh, mattifying texture matters. A single active that fits both lets a brand use one raw material in two product lines.
Product formats
Eyelid gel
A light gel for the upper eyelid and eye contour.
Neck and bust cream
A firming cream with a massage ritual.
Oily-skin fluid
A mattifying fluid for daily use.
Toning body gel
A fresh gel for arms, thighs and abdomen.
Formulating guidance
Add the concentrate during cool-down into the water phase and keep the finished pH within the listed range. Pair it with caffeine in eye and body gels, niacinamide in oily-skin fluids and palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 in firming creams. More ingredients are listed under actives.
Claims
Use cosmetic wording such as firmer-feeling, toned-looking, smoother skin, and for oily skin, a fresher, less shiny look. Support numbers with tests on the finished product.
Who the products are for
Customers in their forties and older concerned about the eyelids, neck and bust, and younger customers with oily skin who want light textures.
Eyelid care
Eyelid products must be fragrance-free, low in alcohol and tested around the eyes. A gel that dries quickly without stickiness works best.
Body toning
Toning gels are used on large areas, so texture and drying time matter. Add a light cooling agent at a low level for a sensory signal.
Testing
Run stability at room temperature and 40 °C, checking pH, viscosity and appearance.
Packaging
Airless pumps for creams, tubes with metal tips for eye gels, large tubes for body gels.
Batch quality
Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.
Range planning
An eyelid gel, a neck cream and a body gel form a firming line, while an oily-skin fluid opens a second line from the same raw material.
Original recipe: firming eyelid gel, 100 g
Purified water 86.70 g, glycerin 3.00 g, propanediol 3.00 g, IO Firming and Toning Active Liquid 3.00 g as an example level per CoA, caffeine 1.00 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 1.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, allantoin 0.20 g, eye-safe preservative 0.80 g, sodium citrate solution 0.30 g. Dissolve caffeine in warm water and cool. Disperse cellulose in the glycols, add the water and hydrate. Add the active, panthenol, allantoin and preservative below 40 °C. Adjust pH to about 6.0.
Bust care
Bust products need a texture that spreads easily over a larger area and absorbs before dressing. A light cream or gel-cream works better than a heavy balm. Suggest gentle upward massage for one minute and pair the product with a neck cream for a combined neck and décolleté routine.
Oily-skin detail
For oily skin, add a mattifying powder such as silica or starch to the fluid and test shine after several hours. A fresh, light texture encourages daily use.
Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
Storage
Store the container closed in a cool place away from light.
