Description
Tired eyes are the first thing people notice after a short night or a long day at a screen. IO Eye-Area Care Active Liquid is a liquid concentrate listed for the eye area: serums, appearance-focused cosmetic creams, creams for under-eye puffiness and toning face masks.
Product data
Water-soluble liquid active concentrate. Applications from the card: serums for the care of the skin around the eyes, appearance-focused cosmetic creams, creams against puffiness under the eyes and toning and rejuvenating face masks. Add directly to the water phase during cool-down. For this ingredient, the supplier CoA of each lot confirms the full INCI and active content.
The eye contour
The skin around the eyes is thinner than elsewhere on the face, moves constantly and shows puffiness, dark circles and fine lines quickly. Products for this area need light textures, high tolerance and a clear, focused promise.
Product formats
Eye serum
A light serum with a roller-ball or metal tip.
Eye cream
A richer cream for the evening.
De-puffing gel
A cooling gel for the morning.
Toning mask
A face mask with the active for a refreshed look.
Formulating guidance
Add the concentrate during cool-down into the water phase. Pair it with caffeine for de-puffing, low molecular weight hyaluronic acid for plumping hydration and acetyl hexapeptide-8 for expression lines. More eye care ingredients are listed under actives.
Claims
Use cosmetic wording such as brighter-looking, less puffy, more rested eyes. Support numbers with tests on the finished product, such as image analysis or panel scoring.
Eye-area safety
Keep products fragrance-free, low in alcohol and free of strong acids. Run in-use tests with contact lens wearers and people who describe their eyes as sensitive.
Who the products are for
Office workers, parents of young children, frequent travelers and anyone who wakes up with puffy eyes.
Cooling effects
Metal applicators and refrigerated storage boost the de-puffing feel. Suggest keeping the gel in the fridge in summer.
Sensory design
Eye products should absorb within a minute and sit well under concealer. Test with makeup on top.
Testing
Run stability at room temperature, 40 °C and refrigerated, checking pH, viscosity and appearance.
Packaging
Roller-ball bottles, metal-tip tubes and airless pumps protect the formula and give hygienic application.
Batch quality
Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.
Routine guidance
Use the gel in the morning and the cream at night. A toning mask once a week completes the routine.
Range planning
An eye serum, an eye cream and a mask form a compact rested-eyes line.
Original recipe: de-puffing eye gel, 50 g
Purified water 42.70 g, glycerin 1.50 g, propanediol 1.50 g, IO Eye-Area Care Active Liquid 1.50 g as an example level per CoA, caffeine 0.50 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 0.50 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.10 g, panthenol 0.75 g, allantoin 0.10 g, eye-safe preservative 0.40 g, sodium citrate solution 0.45 g. Dissolve caffeine in warm water and cool. Disperse cellulose and hyaluronate in the glycols, add the water and hydrate. For IO Eye-Area Care Active Liquid, add the active, panthenol, allantoin and preservative below 40 °C. Adjust pH to about 6.0.
Masks for a refreshed look
The card also lists toning and rejuvenating face masks. A gel mask with the active, applied for ten minutes in the morning before an important day, gives customers an instant refreshed feel. Sheet masks soaked in a light serum with the active are another easy format with strong gifting appeal.
Makeup compatibility
Test each eye product under concealer and foundation. Pilling or creasing in the under-eye area quickly leads to negative reviews.
Storage
Store the container closed in a cool place away from light.
