Description

Shadows under the eyes, fine red lines around the nose and bluish marks on the legs have one thing in common: they come from color showing through the skin. IO Eye Area and Redness Care Active is a water-soluble active whose name targets those shadows, with eye care, wrinkle-smoothing creams and products for visible capillaries on its card.

Product data

Water-soluble. PH range 4.0 to 7.0. Applications from the card: cosmetics for skin care around the eyes; creams for smoothing the look of wrinkles; creams for areas with bluish marks and visible capillary networks on the legs and around the nose. For this ingredient, the supplier CoA of each lot confirms the exact INCI, composition and recommended level.

Why color shows through

Where skin is thin, as under the eyes, the color of blood vessels and pigment beneath is more visible. Fine capillaries near the surface on the nose and legs add a red or bluish tint. Cosmetic products can help these areas look more even, but realistic wording is essential.

Product formats

Under-eye cream

A cream for a brighter-looking eye area.

Eye serum

A light serum with a roller tip.

Leg gel

A cooling gel for legs with visible fine veins.

Redness-look cream

A face cream for the nose and cheeks.

Wrinkle-smoothing cream

A day or night cream for fine lines.

Formulating guidance

Add the active during cool-down into the water phase and keep the finished pH within the listed range. Pair it with caffeine in eye and leg products, niacinamide for an even-tone message and acetyl hexapeptide-8 in wrinkle-smoothing creams. More ingredients are listed under actives.

Claims

Use cosmetic wording such as brighter-looking eye area, less visible redness and more even-looking skin. Avoid wording about health or blood vessels. For this ingredient, support numbers with image analysis or panel tests on the finished product.

Who the products are for

Customers with dark circles, those with visible fine veins on the legs or redness around the nose, and people with mature skin.

Leg care

Leg gels feel best when they are cooling and fast-drying. A gentle upward massage from ankle to knee makes the routine pleasant, especially in summer and after long days standing.

Eye-area safety

Keep eye products fragrance-free and test with contact lens wearers.

Light-reflecting touches

A little soft-focus mica in an eye cream brightens instantly. Keep that claim separate from the active.

Testing

Run stability at room temperature, 40 °C and refrigerated, checking pH, viscosity and appearance.

Packaging

Metal-tip tubes and roller balls for eye products, tubes or pumps for leg gels.

Batch quality

Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.

Range planning

An eye cream, a leg gel and a redness-look cream form a line around even-looking skin.

Labeling

Use the INCI from the CoA on the label.

Preservation

Confirm the preservative system with a challenge test.

Routine guidance

Eye cream morning and evening, leg gel after the shower, redness-look cream in the morning under sunscreen.

Sun advice

Sun exposure makes redness and visible capillaries more noticeable. Daily sunscreen supports any of these routines.
