Description
A pH range from 3 to 10 is unusually wide. IO Calming Plant Active Liquid for Creams is a water-soluble active with exactly that tolerance, which lets it move from acidic toners to neutral creams and even cleansers that sit on the alkaline side.
Product data
Water-soluble. PH range 3.0 to 10.0. The card does not list applications or origin. For this ingredient, the supplier CoA of each lot confirms the exact INCI, composition and recommended level.
Why a wide pH range helps
Many actives lose stability or change color outside a narrow pH window. An active stable from 3 to 10 can be used across a whole range, including exfoliating toners and certain cleansers, without separate grades.

Who the products are for
Customers with sensitive-feeling skin, people who use exfoliating products and want comfort, and families.
Pairing with exfoliating products
Acidic toners can make skin feel tingly. A comfort active that tolerates low pH can sit in the same toner and help it feel gentler.
Testing
Run stability at your target pH at room temperature and 40 °C, checking color, odor and viscosity.
Packaging
Bottles for toners and cleansers, pumps for creams, droppers for serums.

Original recipe: calming comfort toner, 100 g
Purified water 86.70 g, IO Calming Plant Active Liquid for Creams 3.00 g as an example level per CoA, glycerin 3.00 g, propanediol 3.00 g, panthenol 1.50 g, allantoin 0.20 g, bisabolol 0.10 g, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil 0.30 g, preservative 0.80 g, sodium citrate solution 1.40 g. For IO Calming Plant Active Liquid for Creams, premix bisabolol with the solubilizer, add to water with the remaining ingredients and stir. Adjust pH to about 5.5.
Cleanser detail
Cleansers based on some traditional surfactant systems sit at a higher pH. A comfort active that stays stable up to pH 10 can be included there to help skin feel less tight after washing. Test the finished cleanser on dry and sensitive panelists.
Shampoo detail
In shampoos, add it after the surfactants and check viscosity and clarity. A comfort story suits scalps that feel tight or itchy-feeling after washing.
Sensory design
Comfort products should feel soft and cushioned without stickiness.
Routine guidance
Gentle cleanser, toner, serum and cream, with sunscreen in the morning.
Labeling detail
Declare the INCI from the CoA, including any carrier listed there, in the correct order of weight on the label.
Batch notes
Record the final pH of each batch, since the active may sit in very different products across the range.
Gifting
A calming toner and cream duo suits sensitive-skin gift sets.
Storage
Store the container closed in a cool place away from light.
