Description

Body wraps, modeling gels and contouring lotions share one goal: skin on the thighs, hips and abdomen that looks smoother and feels firmer. IO Body Shaping Active Liquid is a liquid concentrate listed for exactly these products, from home-use creams to professional wraps.

Product data

Water-soluble liquid active concentrate. Applications from the card: modeling products, creams, lotions and wraps. Add directly to the water phase during cool-down. For this ingredient, the supplier CoA of each lot confirms the full INCI and active content.

Home and salon

Body modeling has two channels. At home, customers use gels and lotions daily with self-massage. In salons and spas, therapists apply wraps and masks under film for thirty to forty minutes. An active suited to both lets a brand sell a professional service and a matching retail product.

Product formats

Modeling gel

A fresh, fast-drying gel for morning use.

Contouring cream

A richer cream for evening massage.

Firming lotion

A light lotion for large areas.

Professional wrap

A gel or cream applied under film in the salon.

Formulating guidance

Add the concentrate during cool-down into the water phase and check the finished pH. Pair it with caffeine for a classic contouring story, Fuco Slim for a marine angle and D-Panthenol for comfort. Ingredients that pair well with this ingredient are collected under actives.

Claims

Use cosmetic wording: smoother-looking, firmer-feeling, toned-looking skin. Support numbers with circumference, elasticity or panel tests on the finished product. Avoid wording about fat loss or weight.

Massage technique

Results in panel tests depend on how the product is used. Describe a short massage on the pack: circular movements from knee to hip for one to two minutes per leg. Salon protocols can use longer manual or device-assisted massage.

Wrap formulas

Wraps need a texture that stays in place under film and rinses off easily. A gel based on cellulose or a light clay cream works well. Keep cooling or warming agents low, since the film intensifies sensations.

Who the products are for

Customers preparing for summer, after a pregnancy or a change in weight, and spa clients who book body treatments in courses.

Sensory design

Body products should dry quickly without stickiness. Test on the thigh with a two-minute massage and note slip, pilling and drying time.

Testing

Run stability at room temperature and 40 °C, checking pH, viscosity and appearance. Body products often sit in warm bathrooms.

Packaging

Large tubes and pumps for home use, professional jars or bags for salon wraps.

Batch quality

Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.

Course-based use

Salons often sell modeling treatments in courses of six to ten sessions. A retail product used between sessions supports the course and gives clients a reason to buy.

Range planning

A morning gel, an evening cream and a salon wrap form a complete modeling line.

Seasonality

Demand peaks in spring. Plan production and marketing so stock arrives before the season starts.
