Description
Daily exposure to sun, pollution and screens drives much of how skin ages. Antioxidant and protective care aims to help skin look fresh and resilient despite that daily load. IO Antioxidant Plant Active Liquid is a water-soluble plant-based liquid whose card lists sunscreens, appearance-focused cosmetic, antioxidants, protection and cosmetic appearance support.
Product data
Liquid, water-soluble. Applications from the card: sunscreens, appearance-focused cosmetic, antioxidants, protection and cosmetic appearance support. For this ingredient, the supplier CoA of each lot confirms the exact INCI, composition and recommended level.
Antioxidants in daily care
Antioxidants are used in skin care to support skin against the visible effects of environmental stress. They work best as part of a morning routine together with sunscreen. Plant-based antioxidant complexes fit natural and clean positioning.
Product formats
Antioxidant serum
A light morning serum under sunscreen.
Day cream with SPF
A protective cream for daily use.
appearance-focused cosmetic night cream
A richer cream for the evening.
City mist
A light spray used during the day.
Formulating guidance
Add the active during cool-down into the water phase and check the finished pH. Pair it with 3-glyceryl ascorbate for a vitamin C story, niacinamide for an even-tone message and mixed tocopherols in the oil phase. More antioxidant ingredients are listed under actives.
Claims
Use cosmetic wording such as fresher, more radiant, younger-looking skin and antioxidant care. Support numbers with tests on the finished product. In sunscreens, SPF and UVA claims depend only on standardized testing.
Who the products are for
City dwellers, people who spend time outdoors and anyone building a morning routine around sunscreen.
Sunscreen formulation
UV filters, emulsifiers and film-formers determine SPF. Add the active as a care ingredient after confirming compatibility with the filter system and test SPF on the finished product.
Color and odor
Plant actives can add color and scent. Check the finished product and adjust packaging or fragrance if needed.
Testing
Run stability at room temperature, 40 °C and under light, checking pH, color, odor and viscosity.
Packaging
Opaque airless pumps protect antioxidants from air and light.
Batch quality
Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.
Routine guidance
Serum in the morning, followed by a day cream with sunscreen; night cream in the evening.
Range planning
An antioxidant serum, an SPF day cream and a night cream form a protective routine.
Original recipe: morning antioxidant serum, 100 g
Purified water 84.10 g, glycerin 3.00 g, propanediol 4.00 g, IO Antioxidant Plant Active Liquid 3.00 g as an example level per CoA, niacinamide 3.00 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.20 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 0.60 g, panthenol 1.00 g, sodium phytate 0.10 g, preservative 1.00 g. For IO Antioxidant Plant Active Liquid, disperse cellulose and hyaluronate in the glycols, add water and hydrate. For IO Antioxidant Plant Active Liquid, add niacinamide, the active, panthenol, phytate and preservative below 40 °C. Adjust pH to about 5.5 if needed.
Pollution and screen exposure
City customers often ask for products that help skin cope with pollution and long hours in front of screens. A light antioxidant serum and a mist fit that need. Keep claims cosmetic, such as helping skin look fresh and radiant, and support them with tests on the finished product.
Night care
At night, a richer cream with the active and peptides supports a rested, smoother look by morning. Night creams can carry higher levels of nourishing oils since makeup is not a concern.
Storage
Store the container closed in a cool place away from light.
