Description
This ingredient at a glance
IO Toning Active Liquid is a peptide concentrate supplied as a liquid in milliliter packs. Our product record confirms that it is water-soluble and is added directly to the water phase during cool-down. The toning story in skin care
Toning products sit between firming face care and body care. Customers who buy them want skin that looks tighter, smoother and more defined, on the face, the jawline, the neck or the body. A peptide concentrate with a fitness-themed name lets a brand tell that story in a playful way, which works well for younger audiences and for men's lines. Keep all claims about appearance; avoid any language that suggests muscle building or weight loss.
Applications
Leave-on formats suit liquid peptide concentrates: toning serums, firming day creams, jawline and neck gels, and body lotions for arms and thighs. Gyms, spas and sports-themed brands often sell post-workout skin care, where a fresh, quickly absorbed gel with a cooling effect fits the moment. This ingredient can be combined with Acetyl Hexapeptide-51 Amide Powder in body products or with Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 Powder in face care. Browse more liquids in our peptides catalog.
How to use it
Cool the base below 40 °C, weigh this ingredient into the batch and stir gently until uniform. Avoid reheating afterwards. Keep the pH in a mild range close to skin. Follow the CoA and supplier documentation for the use level; liquid peptide concentrates are typically used at low single-digit percentages.
Post-workout product ideas
After exercise, skin is warm and often sweaty, so textures should be light and non-occlusive. A water gel with glycerin, a small amount of menthol derivative for a cooling feel and the peptide concentrate works well. For the face, add niacinamide for a matte, even look. For the body, a spray lotion is quick to apply in a locker room. Compact packaging that fits a gym bag supports the concept.
Compatibility
Liquid peptide concentrates are generally compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide, caffeine, cooling agents and other peptides. They suit gels, sprays and oil-in-water emulsions. Avoid strong acids, strong bases, oxidizers and long heating. Check comfort carefully if you add cooling or warming agents.
Planning a small first batch
For a first run, make a 500 g pilot of the gel and divide it into three jars: one at room temperature, one in a warm cabinet at about 40 °C and one in the fridge. Compare color, odor, viscosity and pH every week for a month. If all three stay stable, scale up to the planned batch size in one intermediate step and keep a retained sample from every production run. ## Characteristics
