Description
Tightenyl for firm, plump looking skin
Tightenyl is a water-soluble liquid firming active used in serums, creams and emulsions for tighter, firmer and plumper looking skin. The supplier lists a working pH of 5.0 to 6.0, and the liquid goes into the water phase during cool-down. Take the use level from the supplier documentation for your lot. The smallest pack is 0.33 oz (10 mL).
Long-term care, not an instant film
Some products tighten skin within minutes through a film on the surface. Tightenyl is positioned for regular use over several weeks, where the firmer look builds gradually. For a stronger concept, combine it with an instant film former, so consumers feel a quick effect and see a lasting one.
The firmness concern
With age the skin's support network becomes thinner and less elastic, the face loses some volume, contours soften and fine lines show more. Consumers describe this as a tired or deflated look. A firming active gives the label a clear, easy-to-understand benefit around a firmer, better-defined look.
Formats
Daily firming serums, day and night creams for a plumper look, neck and jawline creams for a more defined contour and weekly cream or sheet masks all suit it.
Processing and partners
Add Tightenyl to the water phase below 40 °C and stir until uniform. In emulsions, add it after cooling, and in gels after the thickener has hydrated. Keep the final pH between 5.0 and 6.0. Pair it with palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 for a peptide angle and with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid for a plumping surface feel. For an instant effect, add Fision Instant Lift. More firming concentrates are listed in our cosmetic actives section.
