Syniorage is a trade-name peptide powder. Its published INCI is Mannitol (and) Acetyl Tetrapeptide-11: a four-amino-acid acetylated peptide carried on mannitol, a sugar alcohol that keeps the powder stable and easy to weigh. It was developed for products aimed at mature skin, where the story is about skin that looks firmer, more elastic and smoother in texture. CAS is Mixture for the commercial powder. Working with the powder

Dissolving

Weigh the powder on a calibrated balance, dissolve it completely in a small portion of the formula water before it meets the rest of the batch, and add that premix in cool-down, below 40 °C. The supplier specification gives a pH of 4.0 to 8.0 for the material; check the pH of the finished product after the addition.

Level

Take the use level from the supplier documentation for your lot. Remember that the mannitol carrier is part of the weight you add.

The powder suits water-based serums, toners and essences, and emulsions once they have cooled. The supplier specification names masks, creams, serums, lotions and tonics as typical products.
