Description

Snail Secretion Filtrate Complex at a glance

Snail Secretion Filtrate Complex is a water-soluble liquid built on snail filtrate, sold as a complex rather than as the plain filtrate. The supplier specification names a clear set of uses: appearance-focused cosmetic formulas, skin care after sun exposure, after shaving and after epilation, and products for the look of stretch marks. It also gives a working pH window of 3.0 to 6.0 for the finished product. The composition and the level are confirmed on the supplier CoA, which is where the full INCI should be taken from for labeling.

Where snail ingredients fit today

Snail filtrate became popular through K-beauty essences and is now a familiar name in many markets. Shoppers associate it with a soft, bouncy skin feel and a calm, comfortable look after daily stress. A complex version gives brands a ready building block for that story, so an essence or a gel can be developed with fewer separate raw materials.

Use cases from the supplier specification

Essences and serums for daily care

A light essence is the most natural vehicle. The complex dissolves in water, a little humectant adds slip, and the result layers easily under a cream. In appearance-focused cosmetic lines the essence often becomes the first step after cleansing.

After-sun, after-shave and after-epilation care

The supplier specification lists care after sun, shaving and epilation, so a cooling gel or a light lotion is a logical second format. Combine the complex with aloe juice, panthenol and allantoin, and keep fragrance low for skin that has just been shaved or waxed.

Body care for the look of stretch marks

A body cream or a rich lotion can carry the complex over larger areas. Pair it with butters and oils in the oil phase and keep the complex in the water phase.

How to add it

Add the complex to the water phase during cool-down, below 40 °C, and stir gently. Check that the finished pH falls inside the 3.0 to 6.0 window from the supplier specification. Take the use level from the supplier CoA.

Compatibility

The complex mixes with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, allantoin and botanical waters. Strong oxidizers are best avoided. More water-phase ingredients are listed in our actives section, and Snail Mucin is another snail-based option for blemish-prone skin concepts.

Characteristics

Form: liquid. Solubility: water. Finished product pH: 3.0 to 6.0 per the supplier specification. Uses: appearance-focused cosmetic, after-sun, after-shave and after-epilation care, stretch-mark-look care. INCI and level: supplier CoA.

Original recipe: snail comfort essence, 100 g

Distilled water 81.40 g, glycerin 4.00 g, butylene glycol 3.00 g, Snail Secretion Filtrate Complex 8.00 g, panthenol 1.50 g, allantoin 0.20 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.10 g, preservative 1.00 g, citric acid solution to target pH 0.80 g. Hydrate the hyaluronate in water, add the other ingredients and adjust pH to about 5.5.

Label and claim notes

The complex is sold under a descriptive name, and the full INCI on the supplier CoA is what belongs in the ingredient list. On the front of the pack, keep the wording about appearance and comfort: smoother, softer, calmer-looking skin, a fresher feel after sun or shaving. For body products aimed at the look of stretch marks, describe the visible result your testers reported over several weeks. Brands that build a full snail routine often start with an essence, add a gel for after-sun care and finish with a body cream, which keeps the complex at the center of the line and gives each product a clear role. A gentle humectant such as Natural Moisturizing Factor fits well into the essence.

Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.

Storage

Keep the bottle closed in a cool place away from light. Close it right after use.
