Description
About this ingredient
IO Rye Ferment Body and Hand Care Concentrate appears in our catalog under its original spelling, as a separate listing from this ingrediente. Since the two listings carry the same trade name, compare the CoA of each lot you buy; the CoA is the document that confirms the INCI and composition.
Why focus on the body
The application list on the card includes several body products: hand and foot creams and shower gels, next to peels, face care, makeup removers and decorative cosmetics. Hands and feet are where dryness and rough texture show most clearly, and a ferment-based active gives a hand cream or foot cream a fresh, natural-sounding hero.
Body product ideas
Hand creams
A quick-absorbing hand cream is used many times a day, so texture comes first. Keep the oil phase light, add this ingredient to the water phase after cooling, and finish with a soft fragrance.
Foot creams
Foot creams can be richer. Combine the rye ferment with urea and a butter for heels that look smoother. A cooling note from menthol makes the product feel refreshing in the evening.
Shower gels
In a shower gel, the thick liquid is added after the surfactants are combined. It adds a grain-ferment story to an everyday product and does not need heat.
Processing tips
The liquid is thick, so pour it slowly and rinse the beaker with some batch water. In emulsions, add it below 40 °C. In shower gels, stir it in at low speed to avoid trapping air. Take the level from the CoA.
Formula partners
Urea, glycerin, panthenol and allantoin suit hand and foot creams. Menthol Liquid adds freshness to a foot product. For the shower gel, mild surfactants and a little Sodium lactate 60% work well. More actives are in our actives catalog.
Checks before launch
Test hand creams for absorption time and stickiness with a small panel. For foot creams, check that the product stays stable in a warm bathroom. For shower gels, check viscosity and foam after several weeks. Keep a retained sample of every lot and the CoA with each batch file.
Pack copy
Keep the language simple: softer hands, smoother-looking heels, a fresh feel after the shower, with the rye ferment origin as the story. Avoid claims about changes inside the skin.

A body care routine
A shower gel, a hand cream and a foot cream form a simple body routine that shoppers can buy as a set. Each product uses the same rye ferment, which ties them together on the shelf. Start with the hand cream, since it is the most frequent purchase, and add the other two once the first launch has sold well. Seasonal sets for winter, when hands and heels feel driest, are a natural sales moment.
Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
Storage
Store closed in a cool place away from light. Keep the cap clean and close it after use.
