Description

What this ingredient is

IO Purifying Active Liquid is a liquid active publicly documented as an extract of Moringa pterygosperma seeds. Moringa, sometimes called the drumstick tree, grows in India and Africa, and its crushed seeds have long been used to clarify muddy water by binding particles. That property inspired the cosmetic concept: a purifying active for skin exposed to pollution and daily stress. This page sells it in milliliter packs. The exact INCI and active content are on the CoA for each lot.

Properties

The ingredient is positioned for clear, smooth and protected-looking skin, and our product record lists it for serums, creams, appearance-focused cosmetic gels and moisturizers of every texture. It is water-soluble and blends easily into the water phase. The moringa origin gives brands a natural, globally recognized plant story that fits clean beauty and urban protection lines.

Applications

Anti-pollution day creams, clarifying serums, smoothing gels, night creams and essences are typical. This ingredient pairs well with IO Radiance Ferment Active Liquid in a city skin line and with Niacinamide for a clear, even look. More options are listed in our peptides catalog.

How to use it

Cool the base below 40 °C, add this ingredient and stir gently. Avoid reheating. Keep the pH in a mild range. Use the level stated on the CoA and supplier documentation.

Anti-pollution product design

An anti-pollution product usually combines three elements: an active that supports a clear, protected look, antioxidants such as tocopherol, and a light film-forming humectant that leaves a smooth surface. Add a gentle cleanser to the routine to remove particles at night. Keep claims about appearance and avoid suggesting the product blocks or removes pollutants from the body.

Sustainability angle

Moringa is a fast-growing tree that tolerates drought and grows in many tropical regions. If your supplier documentation includes sourcing information, it can support a sustainability message. Pair it with recyclable packaging and concise ingredient lists to build a coherent clean-beauty story.

Compatibility

Plant-derived liquid actives are generally compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide, ferments and peptides. Avoid strong oxidizers and long heating. Check odor and color after adding fragrance.

Texture choices across the range

Because our record lists this ingredient for moisturizers of any form, it can anchor a whole range: a light serum for oily skin, a fluid for daily use and a richer night cream. Keep the active level constant across the range and vary emollients and thickeners to change the texture, so that customers can choose the format that suits their skin without losing the ingredient story. ## Characteristics
