Description
This ingredient at a glance
Alteromonas Ferment Extract Liquid is a water-soluble liquid active concentrate. The card lists age-defying products, products for the skin around the eyes, products for the bust, moisturizers, cleansers and baby cosmetics.
A gentle profile
The presence of baby cosmetics and eye-area products on the list suggests a mild ingredient. Still, every product for babies and for the eye area needs a careful safety assessment, so ask the supplier for tolerance data.

Processing
Add the concentrate to the water phase at cool-down, below about 40 °C, and avoid prolonged heat. The card pH of 7.1 suggests the concentrate is near neutral; check the final pH of the product and keep it suitable for the target area.
Good partners
Snow algae powder suits a marine story. Hyaluronic filling spheres support a plumping look, and Ectoin is a gentle protective partner. Browse more in the actives catalog.
Testing
Run stability tests and, for eye and baby products, tolerance tests under supervision. Ask the supplier for efficacy data before making claims.
Claims
Skin looks smoother and fuller; gentle everyday care. Base specific claims on supplier data.
Characteristics
Form: water-soluble liquid. INCI: water, Alteromonas ferment extract, phenoxyethanol. Use level: 1 to 2%. PH: 7.1. Listed uses: age-defying products, eye-area care, bust care, moisturizers, cleansers, baby cosmetics.
Original recipe: smoothing eye gel, 100 g
Distilled water 90.60 g, glycerin 3.00 g, Alteromonas Ferment Extract Liquid 2.00 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 1.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, caffeine 1.00 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.20 g, allantoin 0.20 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 1.00 g. Dissolve caffeine in warm water, disperse the cellulose, cool, pre-wet the hyaluronate in glycerin and add, then panthenol, allantoin, Alteromonas Ferment Extract Liquid and the preservative, and check the pH. Adjust Alteromonas Ferment Extract Liquid level to the CoA.
Baby products
Products for babies should use as few ingredients as possible, no fragrance and gentle preservation. A safety assessor must review products intended for children under three.
Bust care
Bust and décolleté creams usually focus on a smoother, firmer-looking appearance and a pleasant massage texture. Keep the claims grounded in supplier data.
Directions for users
For eye gels, suggest tapping a small amount around the eye contour morning and evening.
Record keeping
Note the concentrate lot, the final pH and the format of each batch.
Lot records
Keep each CoA with the batch file and note the lot used.
Packaging
Eye gels work well in small tubes with a fine nozzle or in airless pumps, which keep the product clean and cool to the touch.
Sensory check
Ask testers to rate the cooling feel, absorption and comfort around the eyes right after application and after ten minutes. Eye products should leave no tack and should not sting.
Instant smoothing
The supplier highlights a quick smoothing effect on the look of fine lines around the eyes. Test the product with a short before-and-after panel at fifteen minutes and after several weeks.
Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
Storage
Store closed as the CoA directs. Close the container after use.
