Description

Lash and brow care has grown from a niche into one of the busiest corners of the beauty counter. Customers apply a serum along the lash line every night and want lashes that look longer, fuller and better conditioned within a few weeks of steady use. IO Lash and Brow Peptide Liquid is a peptide concentrate developed for exactly this routine, and its card also extends it to shampoos and hair serums.

Product profile

This ingredient arrives as a clear, water-soluble peptide solution. The product card lists a pH window of 5.0 to 7.0 and recommends adding it to the water phase during cool-down. The INCI, peptide content and suggested level are on the CoA for each lot, which also serves as your source for label copy.

Formats that sell

Lash serums

A lash serum is a small product with high expectations. It needs a fine brush applicator, a texture that does not run into the eye and a finish that stays invisible under makeup. Water-based gels thickened with a light polymer are standard. The peptide gives the formula its reason to exist, while panthenol and a humectant keep the lashes soft. Many brands combine two peptide systems; Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 is a common second partner in this category.

Brows and mascara

The same serum base works as a clear brow gel if you raise the film-former slightly for hold. In conditioning mascaras the concentrate goes into the cooled base after pigment dispersion, so the peptide never sees the heat of the wax phase.

Hair care

The card also lists shampoo, conditioner and serum. In rinse-off products contact time is short, so the scalp serum is the stronger format. Keep the claim to fuller-looking, stronger-looking hair. For further peptide options in this category, see our peptides catalog and IO Lash and Brow Serum Active Liquid, another lash-focused concentrate.

Building a small lash range

Many brands start with a single lash serum and extend later. A brow serum with a slightly firmer hold, a conditioning clear mascara and a scalp serum built on the same peptide give a coherent family that shares bulk ingredients and testing data. This keeps minimum order quantities manageable and lets the brand tell one story across several products.

Safety in the eye area

Products used near the eye require a robust preservative system, low irritation potential and a qualified safety assessment. Avoid fragrance and essential oils. Advise users to apply a thin line on clean, dry lids and to stop use if irritation appears.

Setting expectations

Lash products are bought with a clear picture in mind, so the copy needs care. Describe the routine, explain that results depend on regular nightly use over several weeks, and use wording such as longer-looking, fuller-looking and well-conditioned. Before and after photos should be taken under the same light without mascara, and claims should come from testing on the finished serum, not from the raw material alone.

Packaging notes

A slim tube with a fine felt-tip or micro-brush applicator gives precise placement along the upper lash line and avoids overloading. Opaque or tinted tubes protect the formula from light. A clear brow version can share the same bulk and simply use a spoolie wand, which keeps production simple for small brands.

Original recipe: clear lash and brow serum, 100 g

Purified water 88.40 g, glycerin 3.00 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 0.60 g, PVP 1.50 g, panthenol 1.00 g. Disperse the cellulose in water, stir until clear, add glycerin, PVP and panthenol. Below 40 °C add IO Lash and Brow Peptide Liquid 4.00 g as an example level adjusted to the CoA, sodium hyaluronate 0.10 g, and an eye-safe preservative 1.40 g. Mix gently and adjust pH to 6.0 to 6.5.

Storage

Keep closed and cool, away from sunlight. Fill finished serums in clean, sealed tubes with wiper applicators.
