Description

About this ingredient

IO Firm-Look Active Liquid is a liquid active concentrate publicly documented as being based on Acetylarginyltryptophyl Diphenylglycine, a synthetic peptide derivative. Supplier literature connects it with the elastin and collagen network that gives skin its spring and firmness. This page sells it in milliliter packs. Our product record confirms that it is water-soluble and is added directly to the water phase during cool-down. The full INCI, active content and use level are printed on the CoA for each lot.

The elasticity story

Elasticity is the skin's ability to snap back after being stretched. With age, sun exposure and weight changes, skin can look less elastic and less firm. This ingredient gives brands a focused story about skin that looks more resilient and bounces back, a message that applies to the face, the neck and the body alike.

Applications

Firming face serums, day and night creams, neck and decolletage products and body lotions for arms, thighs and abdomen are typical. This ingredient pairs well with Tripeptide-10 Citrulline Powder for a matrix-themed face serum and with Acetyl Hexapeptide-51 Amide Powder in body care. More actives are in our peptides catalog.

How to use it

Cool the base below 40 °C, add this ingredient and stir gently until uniform. Avoid reheating. Keep the pH in a mild range. Follow the CoA and supplier documentation for the use level.

Face and body versions

Body products cover larger areas and are used in larger amounts, so textures should spread easily and absorb quickly. A light emulsion with a fast-breaking emulsifier suits the body, while the face can take a richer cream or a serum. Using the same active in both lets a brand build a firming range that customers recognize.

Supporting partners

Humectants such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid give an immediate plumped feel, while emollients like squalane add suppleness. For body products, caffeine is a popular partner in firming-look routines. Add each active separately and check the batch after each addition.

Measuring perceived results

If you want to make statements such as skin looks firmer after four weeks, run a consumer perception study on your finished product. Instrumental measurements of elasticity are also available from testing labs. Keep the final wording about appearance and base it on your own data.

Compatibility

Peptide-based liquid actives are generally compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide, caffeine and other peptides. Avoid strong acids, strong bases, oxidizers and long heating.

Packaging for daily use

Body lotions are used generously, so a large pump bottle is practical, while face serums suit smaller airless pumps. Keep the visual identity shared across both. ## Characteristics

Form: liquid active concentrate. Publicly documented active: Acetylarginyltryptophyl Diphenylglycine. Solubility: water. Addition: water phase at cool-down. INCI and content: on the CoA. Supply: milliliter packs.

Original recipe: firming body lotion, 100 g

Phase A: distilled water 75.50 g, glycerin 4.00 g, caffeine 1.00 g, xanthan gum 0.20 g; warm to dissolve the caffeine. Phase B: glyceryl stearate and PEG-100 stearate 4.00 g, caprylic/capric triglyceride 6.00 g, dimethicone 2.00 g, cetyl alcohol 1.00 g. Heat An and B to 75 °C, emulsify and cool. Phase C below 40 °C: IO Firm-Look Active Liquid at the level on the CoA, here 4.00 g; panthenol 1.00 g; preservative 1.00 g; fragrance 0.30 g. Mix and adjust pH to about 5.8.

Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.

Storage

Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool place away from light. Reseal after use. Ships from Florida in milliliter packs.
