Description
This ingredient in short
IO Facial Serum Active Liquid is a liquid active offered in milliliter packs. Our product record gives a clear picture of how it is used: facial serums, creams and emulsions, products for mature skin, concentrates and boosters, body creams and lotions, and professional cosmetology. It is water-soluble, so it blends into the water phase of almost any skin care base. Details that belong on a label, such as the full INCI and active content, are stated on the CoA for each lot, and we recommend working from that document.
Properties for the formulator
A water-soluble liquid active is the easiest kind of ingredient to handle in a small lab. There is nothing to melt, no dissolving step and no need for high shear. This ingredient can be weighed straight into a cooled batch and mixed in minutes. Its listed uses point toward mature skin care, where brands talk about skin that looks smoother, more supple and more radiant. Keep the claims cosmetic and consistent with the supplier documentation.
Applications
The record lists five areas: facial serums, creams and emulsions, products for mature skin, boosters and concentrates, and body care. Typical finished goods are a booster added to a moisturizer, a night serum, a rich face cream, a neck cream and a firming-look body lotion. It can share a product with peptides such as Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 Powder or humectants such as Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate. More options are listed in our cosmetic actives catalog.
How to use it
Prepare your base and cool it below 40 °C. Weigh this ingredient into the batch and stir gently until uniform. In emulsions, add it after the emulsion has formed. Keep the finished pH in a mild, skin-friendly range and take the use level from the CoA for your lot. Avoid reheating the batch after the active is added.
Designing for mature skin
Products for mature skin need comfort as much as actives. Combine this ingredient with humectants such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid, with emollients like squalane and shea butter, and with barrier-friendly lipids such as ceramides. Choose a richer texture for night and a lighter one for day, and consider pump packaging to keep the product clean. Fragrance-free versions are popular with this audience. Larger fonts on the label and a simple routine, such as a serum in the evening followed by a cream, make the product easier to use correctly and help customers notice the change in how their skin looks and feels.
Compatibility
Water-soluble liquids are compatible with most humectants, cellulose and gum thickeners, nonionic emulsifiers and common preservatives. Check viscosity if your gel relies on carbomer, as some actives contain salts. Avoid strong oxidizers and long heating, and add other actives one at a time while checking for haze.
