Description

About this ingredient

IO Eye Contour Peptide Liquid is a peptide supplied as a ready liquid concentrate for the eye area. Supplier documentation lists it for all kinds of cosmetics for the skin around the eyes, for fast-acting multifunctional eye care and for appearance-focused cosmetic and anti-wrinkle products. Our product record confirms that it is water-soluble, added at cool-down and comfortable in a mildly acidic pH window. The full INCI and peptide content are printed on the CoA for every lot.

Why eye care is a separate category

The skin around the eyes is thinner, moves constantly and is often the first place where tiredness and age show. Customers notice dark circles, morning puffiness and fine lines, and they are willing to buy a dedicated product. A multifunctional active lets a brand address all three concerns in one product.

Product formats

Light eye creams, cooling eye gels, contour serums with a roller tip and eye patches are the main formats. This ingredient combines well with hesperidin methyl chalcone eye complex for puffiness-focused care and with Caffeine for a refreshing morning product. More peptides are in our peptides catalog.

Processing

Prepare a light gel or emulsion, cool it below 40 °C and add this ingredient with gentle stirring. Avoid reheating. Measure the final pH and keep it in the mildly acidic window noted in the product record. Follow the CoA for the use level.

Fast-acting appeal

Customers want to see a difference in the morning mirror. A cooling metal applicator, a gel texture and a light-diffusing pigment give an immediate fresher look, while the peptide supports the longer-term story. Explain clearly which effect is instant and which develops over weeks.

Eye area safety

Products for the eye contour need ophthalmological tolerance testing. Keep fragrance and essential oils out, choose a gentle preservative and recommend applying the product on the orbital bone, not on the eyelid rim.

Eye patches

Hydrogel or cellulose patches soaked in a serum with this ingredient make a popular quick-boost product. Position them for mornings after short nights or before special events.

Routine advice

Recommend a small amount, about the size of a grain of rice, patted gently with the ring finger morning and evening. Morning use with a cooling applicator helps with puffiness, evening use focuses on fine lines.

Claims and testing

Standardized photographs, colorimetry of the under-eye area and 3D imaging of puffiness on the finished product support claims such as reduced look of dark circles, less puffy-looking eyes and smoother-looking eye contour.

Compatibility notes

Eye products often combine several actives in a small, light base. This ingredient is generally comfortable with caffeine, hyaluronic acid, panthenol and other peptides. Run stability tests in the final pack, paying attention to clarity and viscosity of gels.

Packaging

Tubes with metal tips, roller balls and slim airless pumps dispense small, controlled amounts and keep the product clean. A cooling applicator adds to the fast-acting feel.
