Description
An even, luminous complexion is one of the most common skincare wishes worldwide. IO Even-Tone Cream Active Liquid is a liquid active positioned for brightening, with an application list that runs from serums and fluids to masks and scrubs.
Product data
Liquid, water-soluble, pH 4.5 to 5.5. Applications: anti-age cosmetics, creams, gels, serums, brightening cosmetics, balms, masks, scrubs and fluids. For the INCI, source and recommended level, rely on the lot-specific CoA from the supplier.
What brightening means
In cosmetics, brightening describes a more even-looking tone, less visible dark spots and more radiance. Results take weeks and depend heavily on sun protection, so honest communication is essential.
Product formats
Brightening serum
The core product, used daily before moisturizer and sunscreen.
Fluid or gel
A light texture for oily and combination skin.
Mask
A weekly mask for a radiance boost.
Scrub
A gentle exfoliating product that removes dull surface cells and prepares the skin for serums.
Cream and balm
Richer textures for dry skin and for night use.
Formulating guidance
Add the active during cool-down into the water phase and keep the finished pH close to 4.5 to 5.5. Combine with niacinamide, beta arbutin and 3-glyceryl ascorbate for a multi-pathway brightening story. More brightening ingredients are listed under actives.
Sun protection
Recommend daily broad-spectrum sunscreen on every brightening product. Without it, visible results are limited and customer satisfaction suffers.
Claims
Use cosmetic wording: a more even-looking tone, more radiant skin, less visible dark spots. Avoid whitening language in markets where it is restricted, and support claims with tests.
Testing
Run stability at room temperature and 40 °C, checking color, odor and pH. Brightening formulas can discolor over time; light-protective packaging helps.
Packaging
Opaque bottles and airless pumps for serums and creams; tubes for masks and scrubs.
Range planning
A brightening routine with a scrub, a serum, a cream and a weekly mask covers the whole regimen and supports cross-selling.
Layering with exfoliation
Brightening routines often include gentle exfoliation, which removes dull surface cells and makes tone look more even. A mild scrub or a low-strength acid toner used two or three times a week can precede this ingredient serum. Advise customers not to combine strong exfoliants with other strong actives on the same evening, and to introduce new products one at a time.
Who buys brightening products
Customers with uneven-looking tone, visible dark spots after summer or marks left by blemishes, and anyone looking for a radiant, fresh look. Seasonal campaigns in autumn work well, when customers notice summer spots.
Batch quality
Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples. Check color on arrival, since brightening actives can vary in tint.
Texture choice by climate
In humid climates, customers prefer gels and fluids that leave no film; in dry climates, a cream gives the comfort they need.
