Description
Blemishes fade, but the brownish or reddish marks they leave can stay visible for weeks. IO Post-Blemish Even-Tone Active Liquid is a water-soluble active with post-blemish marks right on its card, alongside brightening serums and creams, tone-correcting products and moisturizing fluids.
Product data
Water-soluble. PH range 5.0 to 7.0. Applications from the card: serums and creams with a brightening effect, creams and masks for post-blemish marks, products for skin tone correction and moisturizing fluids. For this ingredient, the supplier CoA of each lot confirms the exact INCI, composition and recommended level.
Marks after blemishes
Marks left after blemishes are common in oily and combination skin and fade slowly, especially with sun exposure. A routine with a tone-focused active, gentle care and sunscreen helps them look less visible over time.
Product formats
Mark-fading serum
A light serum for daily use.
Tone-correcting cream
A daily cream for an even look.
Brightening mask
A weekly mask for dull, uneven skin.

Formulating guidance
Add the active during cool-down into the water phase and keep the finished pH within the listed range. Pair it with niacinamide for tone and oil balance, kojic acid for a brightening duo and D-Panthenol for comfort. Ingredients that pair well with this ingredient are collected under actives.
Claims
Use cosmetic wording such as less visible marks, more even-looking tone and brighter skin. Support numbers with image analysis over several weeks.

Opaque airless pumps and droppers protect the formula.
Batch quality
Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.
Range planning
A serum, a fluid and a mask form a mark-focused routine.

Preservation
Confirm the preservative system with a challenge test.
Routine guidance
Gentle cleanser, serum morning and evening, light fluid with sunscreen in the morning, mask once a week.
Sensory design
Test the finish after one hour: oily skin should look fresh, not shiny.
Original recipe: mark-fading serum, 100 g
Purified water 83.40 g, glycerin 2.00 g, propanediol 4.00 g, IO Post-Blemish Even-Tone Active Liquid 3.00 g as an example level per CoA, niacinamide 4.00 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 0.60 g, panthenol 1.00 g, allantoin 0.20 g, preservative 1.00 g, sodium citrate solution 0.80 g. Disperse cellulose in the glycols, add water and hydrate. For IO Post-Blemish Even-Tone Active Liquid, add niacinamide, the active, panthenol, allantoin and preservative below 40 °C. Adjust pH to about 6.0.
Why marks linger
After a blemish, skin can produce extra pigment in the area, leaving a brownish mark, or a red mark can persist for a while. Both fade over weeks to months. Gentle, regular care and sunscreen help them look less visible sooner than doing nothing. Picking at blemishes makes marks more likely, a point worth a short note on the product page.
Mask detail
