Description
This ingredient in short
IO Clarifying Peptide Solution is a peptide ingredient supplied as a liquid solution concentrate in milliliter packs. Our product record confirms the practical facts: it is water-soluble and is added directly to the water phase during cool-down, so there is no dissolving step. The full INCI, the active content and the intended claims belong to the supplier documentation and the CoA that ships with each lot. We do not repeat data that we cannot verify for every lot, so this text concentrates on how to work with a liquid peptide concentrate.
Why choose a liquid peptide
Liquid concentrates save time. The peptide is already dissolved and standardized, so the risk of undissolved particles or weighing errors with tiny amounts of powder disappears. For small brands and labs, this means easier small batches and fewer steps. The trade-off is that you ship water and must include the concentrate's carrier and preservation in your formula calculations.
Applications
Liquid peptide concentrates belong in leave-on products: serums, gels, essences, light creams and ampoules. These formats keep the peptide in contact with the skin for hours, which suits the cosmetic role of peptides. Use the supplier documentation to choose the exact product type and claims. Many brands combine one liquid concentrate with a dry peptide such as Hexapeptide-9 Powder and a humectant such as Hyaluronic acid liquid 1%. Explore more liquids in our peptides catalog.
How to use it
Prepare the base and cool it below 40 °C. Weigh this ingredient into the batch and stir gently until uniform. Avoid reheating the finished batch. Keep the pH in a mild range close to skin. Take the use level from the CoA and supplier documentation; liquid concentrates are usually used at low single-digit percentages.
Including the carrier in your calculations
Every liquid concentrate contains a carrier, often water and a glycol, and sometimes a preservative. Add these to your INCI list in the right order and include any preservative in your preservation strategy. If the concentrate contains glycols, you may reduce the glycol in your own base slightly to keep the texture unchanged. The CoA lists the components you need. Keep a simple calculation sheet for each product that shows how much of every carrier component enters the batch through the concentrate, so your final INCI list is accurate and easy to update if the supplier changes the carrier.
Compatibility
Liquid peptide concentrates are generally compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide, allantoin, plant extracts and other peptides. Avoid strong acids, strong bases, oxidizers and long heating. Add actives one at a time and check each addition for haze, odor change and viscosity.
Characteristics
Form: liquid peptide solution concentrate. Solubility: water. Addition: water phase at cool-down. INCI, active content and shelf life: on the CoA. Supply: milliliter packs.
Original recipe: daily peptide essence, 100 g
Phase A: distilled water 88.70 g, glycerin 3.00 g, butylene glycol 2.00 g, xanthan gum 0.10 g; disperse the gum in the glycols and add to the water. Phase B below 40 °C: IO Clarifying Peptide Solution at the level on the CoA, here 3.00 g, Hyaluronic acid liquid 1% 2.00 g, panthenol 0.50 g. Phase C: preservative 0.70 g. Mix gently until uniform, adjust pH to about 5.5 and fill into a bottle with a dropper or flip cap. Pat onto clean skin before cream.
Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
Storage
Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool place away from light. Reseal after each use. Ships from Florida in milliliter packs.
