Description
Many customers want brighter, more even-looking skin but prefer plant-based products. IO Botanical Brightening Active Liquid is a water-soluble active whose name points to a herbal brightening concept, with radiance tonics, serums, mature-skin creams, body wraps and after-sun care on its card.
Product data
Water-soluble. PH range 4.5 to 6.5. Applications from the card: tone-evening cosmetics, tonics and serums for skin radiance, creams and gels for mature skin, face and body masks and wraps and after-sun products. The exact INCI, plant sources, composition and recommended level are confirmed on the supplier CoA for each lot.
A herbal brightening story
Botanical brightening complexes suit natural brands and customers who want gentle products. Name plants only as the INCI allows and support any tone claims with tests on the finished product.
Product formats
Radiance tonic
A toner for a fresh glow.
Brightening serum
A daily serum for an even look.
Mature skin cream
A cream that combines radiance and comfort.
Body wrap

Formulating guidance
Add the active during cool-down into the water phase and keep the finished pH within the listed range. Pair it with niacinamide for tone, aloe vera gel in after-sun products and palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 in mature skin creams. Ingredients that pair well with this ingredient are collected under actives.
Claims
Use cosmetic wording such as radiant, more even-looking, brighter skin. Support numbers with tests over several weeks.
Who the products are for
Natural-minded customers, people with mature skin and dull tone and spa clients.
Spa wraps
Body wraps with a brightening active fit spa menus before summer or holidays. A home-use body lotion continues the care.
After-sun
After sun exposure, skin can look uneven. A cooling gel with the active and aloe helps skin feel comfortable. It never replaces sunscreen.
Color and odor
Herbal complexes can add color and scent. Check under light.
Testing
Run stability at room temperature, 40 °C and under light, checking pH, color and odor.
Packaging
Opaque bottles and tubes protect botanical actives.
Batch quality
Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.
Range planning
A tonic, a serum and a cream form a herbal radiance line, with a wrap for spas.
Labeling
Use the INCI from the CoA on the label.
Preservation
Botanical complexes can challenge preservatives. Confirm with a challenge test.
Routine guidance
Tonic and serum morning and evening, cream daily, sunscreen every morning.
Original recipe: herbal radiance tonic, 100 g
Purified water 86.20 g, IO Botanical Brightening Active Liquid 3.00 g as an example level per CoA, glycerin 3.00 g, propanediol 3.00 g, niacinamide 2.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, allantoin 0.10 g, preservative 0.80 g, sodium citrate solution 0.90 g. Dissolve niacinamide and allantoin in water, add the glycols, the active, panthenol and preservative. Adjust pH to about 5.5.
Mature skin detail
Mature skin often shows both age spots and dullness. A cream that combines the herbal active with peptides and a comfortable oil phase addresses tone and firmness together. Keep the texture rich but absorbent and test it on dry, mature skin panels.
Body care
Hands, arms and décolleté show uneven tone with age and sun. A body lotion with the active extends the line beyond the face.
Gifting
A tonic and serum duo suits natural brightening gift sets.
Batch notes
Compare color of each extract lot with the previous one before production.
Storage
Store the container closed in a cool place away from light.
