Description
Blueberry Fiber at a glance
Blueberry Fiber is a powder that does not dissolve in water or oil. The supplier specification lists scrubs and wraps. Fruit fibers come from the skins and pulp left after juicing, which are dried and milled. They give products a gentle exfoliating texture and a natural, fruity look. Confirm particle size and microbial quality on the supplier CoA, since both matter for products that touch the skin.
Natural exfoliation
Exfoliating particles roll over the skin and lift away dead cells, leaving it smoother and brighter-looking. Plastic microbeads are banned in rinse-off products in many markets, so brands now use natural particles such as seeds, shells, sugars and fruit fibers. Fruit fibers are softer than many shell powders, which makes them suitable for gentle scrubs.
Product formats
Body scrubs
Oil-based or cream-based scrubs with fruit fiber for smooth skin.
Face scrubs
Gentle face polishes with a fine grade of fiber.
Body wraps
The supplier specification lists wraps. Fruit fibers add texture and color to wrap masks used in spa rituals.
Cleansing masks
Clay masks with fruit fiber for a light polishing effect.
Processing
Add the fiber at the end of production and stir until evenly dispersed. In water-based scrubs, use a gel or cream with enough body to keep the particles suspended. In oil-based scrubs, sugar or salt bases carry fiber well. Test that the particles do not settle or float after storage.
Good partners
Freeze-dried aronia adds a second berry, and Oat milk a soft, comforting note. Browse more in the actives catalog.
Testing
Check microbial quality, since natural fibers can carry microbes, and run a challenge test on water-based products. A panel can rate scrub feel and how smooth skin feels after rinsing.

Original recipe: blueberry body polish, 100 g
Sucrose 45.00 g, sunflower oil 25.00 g, shea butter 10.00 g, blueberry fiber 5.00 g, polysorbate 80 8.00 g, glyceryl caprylate 2.00 g, tocopherol 0.50 g, fragrance 1.00 g, jojoba oil 3.50 g. Melt the shea butter with the oils, add polysorbate, tocopherol and glyceryl caprylate, stir in the sugar and blueberry fiber, then add fragrance.
Color and shelf life
Blueberry fiber can give products a purple or blue tint. Natural pigments can fade in light, so test the color over time and use opaque packaging if needed. Oil-based scrubs without water are less prone to microbial growth, but a water-based scrub always needs a preservative.
Spa rituals
Body wraps and scrubs are core spa treatments, often paired with a massage oil. A blueberry ritual could include a polish, a wrap mask and a light body oil, each with a fruity, antioxidant-rich theme.
Range ideas
A body polish, a face scrub and a wrap mask can share blueberry fiber and a fresh berry theme.
Lot records
Keep each CoA with the batch file and note the lot used.
Choosing the grade
Fruit fibers come in different particle sizes. A coarse grade gives a strong body scrub, while a fine grade suits the face. Ask the supplier for the particle size range and test the scrub on the inner arm before deciding. Sharp or very hard particles can feel scratchy, so softer fruit fibers are a good choice for gentle products. Mixing fiber with sugar gives a scrub that starts firm and softens as the sugar dissolves.
Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
Storage
Store closed in a dry place. Close the container after use.
