Description

Modern days are spent in front of screens, under LED lights and in cities with dense traffic. Skincare brands have responded with urban and digital lifestyle products that focus on protection-feel, freshness and a healthy glow. Blue Light Protection Complex is a water-soluble active designed for this category.

Understanding blue light

Blue light, also called high-energy visible light, is part of sunlight and, in much smaller amounts, of screen and LED light. It has become a theme in skincare marketing focused on urban and screen-heavy lifestyles. Products in this category are positioned to help skin look fresh and protected in these conditions.

Specifications from the supplier specification

Liquid, water-soluble, pH 4.0 to 7.0. Applications: anti-blue-light serums, urban skincare, hydration creams, digital stress care, glow skincare; anti-pollution body care, city protection care, wellness beauty products; scalp protection products, urban and anti-pollution hair care; SPA urban detox programs. The exact INCI and recommended level are confirmed on the supplier CoA.

Product formats

Urban day serum

A light serum used in the morning, under, for skin exposed to city life and screens.

Glow cream

A hydrating cream with a radiant finish for tired-looking skin after long screen days.

Body and hair care

Lotions and hair mists for city protection concepts.

Scalp care

Light scalp sprays for people who spend long hours outdoors in cities.

Formulating guidance

Add the complex during cool-down and keep the finished pH within 4.0 to 7.0. Combine with antioxidants such as Amino Acid Antioxidant Liquid and with hydration ingredients. For a radiance boost, add niacinamide. More protective actives are under actives.

Responsible claims

Protection claims must be backed by tests on the finished product. Without them, describe the product in general terms: designed for urban lifestyles and screen-heavy days, helps skin look fresh and radiant.

Who buys these products

Office workers, students, gamers and anyone spending long hours on screens. They respond to clear, modern messaging and convenient formats.

Packaging

Sleek, tech-inspired packaging in blue or violet tones fits the concept. Opaque containers protect the formula.

Testing

Run stability at room temperature, 40 °C and under light. If you plan a protection claim, choose a recognized test method early in development.

Digital fatigue and skin

Long screen days are often combined with indoor air, late nights and stress, so tired-looking skin is common. A product built for this lifestyle should feel refreshing and quick to apply, with a light texture that does not interfere with makeup. Communicate the concept with empathy rather than fear: a modern routine for modern days, not a warning about screens.

Original recipe: screen-day glow serum, 100 g

Purified water 83.50 g, glycerin 4.00 g, propanediol 3.00 g, Blue Light Protection Complex 3.00 g as an example level per CoA, niacinamide 3.00 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.20 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 0.60 g, panthenol 1.00 g, preservative 1.00 g, citric acid solution 0.70 g. Combine the cellulose and hyaluronate with the glycols, add water slowly and stir until the mixture is uniform and clear. Add niacinamide, panthenol and the complex below 40 °C, then the preservative. Adjust pH to about 5.5.
