Description

Alpha Glucosyl Hesperidin at a glance

Alpha Glucosyl Hesperidin is a powder that dissolves in water. Hesperidin is a flavonoid found mainly in the peel of oranges and other citrus fruits. On its own it dissolves poorly. Attaching a glucose unit creates alpha glucosyl hesperidin, which dissolves easily and is much simpler to use in cosmetics. The supplier specification lists appearance-focused cosmetic products, after-sun care, care for especially sensitive skin, products for dark circles and puffiness under the eyes, body-contouring products, protective and anti-stress care and foot products. Confirm purity on the supplier CoA.

Citrus flavonoids in skin care

Flavonoids from citrus are known as antioxidants. In cosmetics, they are used in products that help skin look brighter, more even and fresher. The eye area is a popular target: eye creams and gels with citrus flavonoids aim to make dark circles and puffiness look less visible. Legs and feet are another classic area, where products help them feel light and refreshed.

Processing

Dissolve the powder in the water phase at room temperature. It may give a slight yellow tint, which is normal for flavonoids. Add antioxidants and use opaque packaging to keep the color stable.

Good partners

Caffeine is a classic partner in eye gels. Sophora Japonica Rutin is another flavonoid for a fuller story. Browse more in the actives catalog.

Testing

Use image analysis for the look of dark circles and puffiness. Check color over time in light and dark storage.

Distilled water 89.40 g, glycerin 3.00 g, alpha glucosyl hesperidin 1.00 g, caffeine 1.50 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.20 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 1.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, allantoin 0.20 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 0.70 g, sodium citrate 2.00 g. Dissolve caffeine in warm water, cool, add alpha glucosyl hesperidin, disperse the cellulose and add the remaining ingredients.

Cooling application tips

Eye gels feel most refreshing when kept in the fridge and applied with a metal roller ball. Suggest this in the directions for an extra depuffing ritual. Gentle tapping with the ring finger from the inner to the outer corner helps spread the gel without pulling the delicate skin.

Range ideas

An eye gel, a light leg gel and a foot cream can share the citrus flavonoid and a fresh, light-feeling story.

Lot records

Keep each CoA with the batch file and note the lot used.

Foot care

The supplier specification lists foot products. Tired feet after a long day benefit from cooling creams and gels that leave them feeling light. Combine the flavonoid with menthol and a light emollient for a refreshing foot cream.

Sensitive skin

For especially sensitive skin, keep the formula short, skip fragrance and choose a mild preservative.

Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.

Storage

Store closed in a dry place away from light. Close the container after use.
