Description
This ingredient explained
Acetyl Hexapeptide-30 Solution is a liquid peptide ingredient based on Acetyl Hexapeptide-30. The peptide is already dissolved in water together with arginine and caprylyl glycol, so it can be added straight to a cooled batch. The INCI shown on this page is Water (Aqua), Acetyl Hexapeptide-30, Arginine, Caprylyl Glycol. A CAS number for the peptide itself is not assigned or verified in our records, so we leave that field as N/A rather than guessing.
How brands describe it
Acetyl Hexapeptide-30 belongs to the group of peptides marketed for expression lines, the creases that form around the eyes, forehead and mouth with repeated facial movement. This ingredient is usually presented as a peptide that helps the skin look smoother in these zones with regular leave-on use. It is often compared with acetyl hexapeptide-8 and with Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate Powder, and some brands combine two of them to tell a multi-peptide story.
Where it fits
The application list includes face creams, serums and gels, products for the eye area and products for expression lines. Typical finished goods are a crow's feet roll-on, a forehead serum, an eye cream with a light texture and a night gel. Because it is a clear liquid it suits transparent serums where powders would require an extra dissolving step. Other liquid peptides are gathered in our peptide solutions section.
How to add it
Prepare and cool your base. Add this ingredient during cool-down, below 40 °C, with gentle mixing, and avoid holding the batch at high temperature afterwards. Keep the finished pH in a mild range close to skin. The card does not state an use percentage, so take the level from the supplier CoA for your lot.
Building a multi-peptide product
Expression-line peptides are often sold in pairs or trios because each brand wants a richer ingredient story. When you combine this ingredient with another peptide, add them one after the other into the cooled base and stir between additions. Keep the total peptide content within the ranges given on each CoA rather than stacking the maximum of every material. Clear gels make it easy to see any haze early, so they are a good test vehicle before you move to a cream.
Compatibility
The solution mixes with water, glycerin, propanediol and butylene glycol. It is compatible with hyaluronic acid, panthenol, allantoin and other peptides. Strong acids, strong bases, oxidizers and long heating should be avoided. When pairing with high-electrolyte ingredients, check viscosity of gel bases after 24 hours.
Positioning and labeling
When you write the front label, describe what the shopper will see and feel: smoother-looking skin around the eyes, a fresher look to the forehead, a light texture that layers under makeup. List the peptide by its INCI name in the ingredient list and keep any in the marketing copy only if your supplier agreement allows it. Avoid comparisons with injectable procedures; a calm, appearance-based message fits both retailer rules and the actual role of a cosmetic peptide.
