Description

This ingredient at a glance

IO Restorative Active Liquid is a liquid active sold by the milliliter. Our product record confirms the practical points: it is a water-soluble liquid, and it is used in appearance-focused cosmetic care, restorative serums, creams for mature skin, after-sun care, antioxidant products, revitalizing tonics and eye contour care.

Properties

Being a liquid that dissolves in water, this ingredient suits fast lab work: weigh, add and stir. Its listed uses describe a revitalizing ingredient for tired-looking, mature or sun-stressed skin, where brands talk about a fresher, more energized and more radiant look. It gives a line a modern ingredient story that can sit next to peptides and antioxidants. If you prefer a dry ingredient with a clearly defined molecule, NAD+ is listed separately as a powder.

Applications

The record names seven areas: appearance-focused cosmetic care, restorative serums, creams and emulsions for mature skin, after-sun care, antioxidant cosmetics, tonic and revitalizing products, and eye contour care. In practice that means night serums, morning boosters, eye gels, after-sun lotions and rich face creams. It pairs well with Niacinamide, which supports a radiant look, and with peptides. How to use it

Cool the base below 40 °C, then weigh this ingredient into the batch and stir gently until uniform. In emulsions, add it after emulsification. Keep the finished pH in a mild range and take the use level from the CoA. Avoid long heating and strong light exposure during production.

Product ideas by moment of use

Morning products benefit from a light gel or fluid that layers under sunscreen and makeup. Evening products can be richer, with emollients and ceramides. After-sun products need a cooling, fast-absorbing texture with aloe vera and panthenol. Eye contour products call for minimal fragrance and a soft gel base. Using one active across several formats lets a brand build a coherent routine. Keep the hero ingredient at the same level in each product where possible, so that the marketing message stays simple and the customer understands why the products belong together.

Compatibility

The liquid is compatible with water, glycerin, glycols, cellulose and gum thickeners and nonionic emulsifiers. It sits well with niacinamide, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, peptides and plant extracts. Avoid strong oxidizers and prolonged heat. Store finished products in opaque packaging if your stability tests show sensitivity to light.

Original recipe: revitalizing morning fluid, 100 g

Phase A: distilled water 80.40 g, glycerin 3.00 g, niacinamide 3.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g. Stir until dissolved. Phase B: caprylic/capric triglyceride 4.00 g, squalane 2.00 g, sodium acrylates copolymer and lecithin 1.50 g; premix and add to A with stirring until a light fluid forms. Phase C below 40 °C: IO Restorative Active Liquid 3.00 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.10 g predissolved in a little water, preservative 1.00 g, fragrance 1.00 g of a light citrus accord. Mix and adjust pH to about 5.8.

Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.

Storage

Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool place away from light. Reseal immediately after use. Ships from Florida in milliliter packs.
