Description
Ferments became a pillar of skin care through the famous first essences of Asian routines. Bifida ferment lysate is one of the best-known ferment ingredients, and this appearance support complex brings it to serums, essences, creams and toners. The supplier specification adds a practical note: it mixes with water but leaves a slight haze.
Product data
Liquid. Miscible with water or water-alcohol mixtures but does not form a clear solution. For appearance support Complex (Bifida Ferment Lysate): the exact INCI, composition and recommended level are confirmed on the supplier CoA for each lot.
What a ferment lysate is
Bifida ferment lysate is made by growing Bifidobacterium, then breaking the cells open and filtering the result. The lysate contains cell fragments and metabolites, and it is used in cosmetics for skin that looks smoother, more even and more resilient. Claims must come from the supplier documentation and your own tests.
Living with haze
Because it does not form a clear solution, a light haze is normal. Choose a slightly opalescent or frosted presentation, or use it in creams and milky essences where clarity does not matter. Avoid promising a crystal-clear product.
Product formats
First essence
A watery essence used right after cleansing.
Serum
A light serum with a ferment story.
Night cream
A cream for overnight comfort.
Milky toner
A toner where slight haze looks natural.
Formulating guidance
Add the complex during cool-down into the water phase. For appearance support Complex (Bifida Ferment Lysate): pair it with niacinamide for an even-tone message, low molecular weight hyaluronic acid for hydration and D-Panthenol for comfort. More ingredients are listed under actives.
Claims
Use cosmetic wording such as smoother, more even, resilient-looking skin. Support numbers with tests on the finished product.
Who the products are for
Customers who follow multi-step routines, fans of ferment-based care and anyone with dull or tired-looking skin.
Sensory design
Essences should feel watery yet cushioned. Combine a light diol with a little glycerin and test the after-feel.
Testing
Run stability at room temperature, 40 °C and under light, checking pH, haze level, odor and sediment. Note the starting haze so you can tell normal appearance from change.
Packaging
Frosted glass or opaque bottles suit hazy products and protect ferments.
Batch quality
Keep the CoA for each lot, compare appearance and odor on arrival and store retained samples.
Preservation
Ferment-derived ingredients can be nutritious for microbes. Confirm the preservative system with a challenge test.
Range planning
An essence, a serum and a night cream form a ferment line.
Original recipe: ferment first essence, 100 g
Purified water 83.20 g, Bifida Ferment Lysate complex 5.00 g as an example level per CoA, butylene glycol 3.00 g, glycerin 2.00 g, niacinamide 2.00 g, propanediol 2.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.10 g, allantoin 0.10 g, preservative 1.00 g, sodium citrate solution 0.60 g. Dissolve hyaluronate in the glycols, add water and stir. Add niacinamide, panthenol, allantoin, then the complex and preservative below 40 °C. Adjust pH to about 5.5.
Asian-style routines
In multi-step routines, the essence is the second step after cleansing. It prepares skin for serum and cream and gives a light layer of hydration. Customers who enjoy layering often buy the whole set, and an essence with a well-known ferment ingredient is a natural entry product.
Storage
Keep the container closed in a cool place.
