What NMN is

Nicotinamide mononucleotide combines nicotinamide, a form of vitamin B3, with ribose and phosphate. In cosmetics it is presented as a premium ingredient for serums and essences positioned for a radiant, fresh-looking complexion.

Typical formats are water-based face serums, light essences used after cleansing, gel creams and fluid emulsions.

Processing

Dissolve the powder in part of the water at room temperature until clear. Add it at cool-down, below about 40 °C, and check the final pH. Avoid prolonged heating. Dissolving it in a measured volume of water keeps the level accurate in small batches.

Original recipe: radiance gel cream, 100 g

Distilled water 80.50 g, glycerin 4.00 g, NMN powder 0.50 g, caprylic capric triglyceride 5.00 g, squalane 3.00 g, polyglyceryl-6 stearate blend 3.00 g, xanthan gum 0.40 g, carbomer 0.20 g, panthenol 1.00 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 1.00 g, sodium hydroxide solution 0.40 g, adenosine 1.00 g. Disperse the thickeners, emulsify the oils, neutralize, cool, then add the NMN dissolved in a little water, the adenosine and the preservative. Adjust the NMN level to the CoA.

Packaging and storage

Airless pumps and opaque bottles help protect the finished product. Store the powder closed, cool and dry.
