The supplier specification gives a pH of 3.0 to 4.5. NMN is a nucleotide built from nicotinamide, a form of vitamin B3, plus a sugar and a phosphate group. The acidic pH

The pH of 3.0 to 4.5 shows that this grade forms an acidic solution. When added to a serum or cream, it lowers the pH. Check the pH after adding it and adjust it to the target range with a suitable base, such as sodium citrate or a dilute sodium hydroxide solution. A citrate buffer helps keep the finished pH steady over time.

Typical formats are premium water-based serums, essences used after cleansing and light emulsions with water-phase addition.

Processing

Dissolve the powder fully in a portion of the water phase at room temperature. Add it during cool-down, then measure and adjust the pH. Measure the pH again after one day. Protect the finished product from heat.

Original recipe: radiance essence, 100 g

Distilled water 90.10 g, glycerin 4.00 g, NMN powder 0.50 g, niacinamide 2.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, trehalose 1.00 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 1.00 g, sodium citrate 0.40 g. Dissolve the trehalose, niacinamide and panthenol in the water with the glycerin, add the NMN solution at room temperature, then the preservative, and adjust the pH with sodium citrate. Adjust the NMN level to the CoA.
