Description

Some products have to feel like nothing at all: a mist sprayed over makeup, a toner patted in after cleansing, a scalp lotion that must not make roots look greasy. Nano sodium hyaluronate is the hyaluronic acid grade designed for those moments. Its chains are very short, so it adds the hyaluronic name and a hydrating benefit without thickness or tack.

Chain length and texture

In hyaluronic acid, chain length decides texture. Long chains give elastic gels and a visible film. Very short chains give solutions that are almost as thin as water. The nano label used in the market describes this short end of the range. The actual molecular weight of each lot is stated on the CoA, and that value should be recorded in your formula documentation.

Supplied form and preparation

Our nano grade is supplied dry and sold by weight. The solubility line on our product page uses a generic liquid template; the material is hydrated in water before use. Short chains disperse quite easily, yet a slow addition to stirred water still prevents clumps. Pre-dispersing in glycerin is a reliable alternative for small batches.

Where it works best

Mists and toners

Thin products stay sprayable and light. The hyaluronic grade adds a hydration benefit and a smooth after-feel.

Essences and light serums

As the first leave-on step after cleansing, a nano hyaluronic essence prepares the skin for richer layers.

Eye and scalp care

Eye cosmetics need low tack; scalp lotions need to dry quickly without residue. Both match the profile of short-chain hyaluronic acid.

Layered hydration

Combined with longer grades such as low molecular sodium hyaluronate and a high molecular grade, it completes a multi-weight system.

Formulating guidance

Add the hydrated solution to the water phase or cooled emulsion with gentle mixing. Check the finished pH and viscosity over a few weeks, since electrolytes and strong acids influence hyaluronic polymers. In alcohol-containing scalp tonics, add the hyaluronic solution before the alcohol and check clarity. Further hydration ingredients are available in our actives category, and ectoin is a good partner for protective, comfort-focused toners.

Claims to use

Describe the result in terms of hydration and feel: refreshed, comfortable, smoother-looking skin and a light finish. Avoid claims about depth of penetration unless your finished product has been tested for them. Hydration measurements and user panels are the most convincing evidence.

Storage of prepared solutions

Prepared stock solutions should be preserved, labeled with the date and stored in the fridge for short periods. Discard any solution that changes odor or clarity.

Product positioning

Short-chain hyaluronic acid is a natural fit for modern, minimal routines. A mist can be marketed as a refresh during the day, over or under makeup, and in air-conditioned offices or on flights where skin feels tight. A toner with nano hyaluronate becomes the first step of a layering routine, and an essence can be positioned as a hydrating primer for serums. Clear, simple copy works best: explain that this grade is very light, that it hydrates without stickiness and that it combines well with other hyaluronic weights. Pair the range with a richer cream for customers with very dry skin, since humectants alone may not be enough in dry climates.

Original recipe: setting mist with hyaluronic acid, 100 g

Purified water 89.80 g, glycerin 2.00 g, nano sodium hyaluronate 0.20 g, propanediol 3.00 g, aloe vera juice 2.00 g, panthenol 0.50 g, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil 0.40 g, fragrance 0.10 g, preservative 1.00 g, citric acid solution 1.00 g. Disperse the hyaluronate in glycerin and propanediol, add water and hydrate. Premix fragrance with the solubilizer, add all remaining ingredients and adjust pH to about 5.5.

Storage

Keep sealed in a cool, dry place and close the pack straight after weighing, since hyaluronic materials pick up moisture from the air.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does nano mean for this grade?

It refers to a very low molecular weight with very short chains, giving thin solutions and a weightless feel.

Does it thicken products?

Very little. Short chains give low viscosity, so it suits mists, toners and light serums.

How should it be dissolved?

Sprinkle into stirred water or pre-disperse in glycerin, then let it hydrate before adding to the formula.

Where is the molecular weight confirmed?

On the CoA for each lot.
