Description
MULTIFEEL at a glance
MULTIFEEL is a water-soluble liquid active for creams, serums and daily care cosmetics. Its focus is skin feel: a soft, smooth and comfortable finish during and after application. It is added to the water phase during cool-down. Confirm the full INCI and dose on the certificate of analysis.
Why skin feel matters
Consumers judge a product within seconds. Texture, spreading, absorption and the feel left on the skin decide whether they like it, often before any visible result appears. A product that feels sticky, greasy or dry rarely gets bought again, even if it performs well. Sensory actives help formulators fine-tune that first impression and the comfort that follows.
The multi-sensory idea
Skin feel has several parts: smoothness, softness, a light or rich touch, and the absence of tightness. A single active that supports several of these at once makes formulation easier and shortens the ingredient list. The name MULTIFEEL reflects that idea of improving several sensory aspects in one step.
Formats
Face creams
Daily creams with a soft, velvety finish.
Serums
Light serums that absorb quickly and leave no sticky residue.
Lotions and body care
Body lotions with a smooth, comfortable after-feel.
Sensitive skin products
Gentle care that reduces the feeling of tightness after cleansing.
How to use it
Add MULTIFEEL to the water phase below 40 °C and stir until uniform. Evaluate the effect with a sensory panel at several dose levels, because small changes in dose can change the skin feel. Compare the finished product with a version without the active.
Partners
Skin feel improves with balanced humectants and light emollients. Hemisqualane gives a silky, fast-absorbing touch, and betaine reduces stickiness from glycerin. More concentrates are listed in the actives catalog.

Sensory testing
A trained sensory panel scores attributes such as spreadability, absorption, stickiness, greasiness, softness and smoothness after a set time. Comparing the product with and without the active shows the contribution of MULTIFEEL clearly. Consumer tests then confirm liking and purchase intent.
Claim wording
Use wording such as soft, velvety, comfortable, smooth and non-sticky. Sensory claims are easy For formulators building consumer-facing cosmetics to check, so they build trust when the product delivers.
Dose guidance
Follow the technical sheet. Start at the middle of the recommended range and adjust after a sensory test.
Who it is for
Every consumer notices skin feel, but some groups care about it more. People with oily skin dislike greasy finishes, people with dry skin dislike tightness, and men often reject sticky products. A sensory active lets one formula satisfy a broader audience. It is also useful when a formula contains ingredients that feel heavy or tacky on their own, such as high levels of glycerin or certain plant extracts.
Formulation balance
Skin feel depends on the whole formula, not on one ingredient. The emulsifier, the oil choice, the thickener and the humectant level all play a role. Adjust these first, then use MULTIFEEL to fine-tune the final touch. Record the sensory profile of each trial so changes can be compared.
Storage
Store tightly closed in a cool place, away from direct light and heat.
