Description
What this ingredient is
IO Firming Peptide Solution is a liquid peptide concentrate sold in milliliter packs. It is publicly documented as a pair of lipopeptides, Palmitoyl Dipeptide-5 Diaminobutyroyl Hydroxythreonine and Palmitoyl Dipeptide-6 Diaminohydroxybutyrate, supplied in a glycerin and water carrier. Supplier literature connects them with the dermal-epidermal junction, the interface that holds the outer and deeper layers of the skin together. Our product record confirms water solubility and addition during cool-down. The full INCI is on the CoA for each lot.
The junction story
As skin ages, the junction between its layers flattens, and the skin can look less firm and less resilient. A peptide positioned around this junction gives brands a scientific, easy-to-illustrate story: layers that look well connected, skin that looks firmer and smoother. Keep claims about appearance and base any numbers on your own finished-product testing.
Applications
Firming serums, eye creams, night creams, neck and decolletage products and ampoules are typical uses. This ingredient combines well with matrix peptides such as Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 Powder and with IO Firming Peptide Liquid, another peptide from a similar naming family. How to use it
Cool the base below 40 °C, add this ingredient and stir gently until uniform. Avoid reheating. Keep the pH in a mild range. Follow the CoA for the use level.
Multi-peptide planning
Brands often build multi-peptide products that cover several themes: the junction, the matrix and expression lines. Add each liquid or dissolved peptide separately, stir between additions and record every level. Clear gels reveal haze early, so test compatibility in a gel before moving to a cream.
Texture suggestions
Firming serums feel best when light and quick to absorb, with a slight tightening sensation from a film-forming humectant. Night creams can be richer, with shea butter and squalane. Eye creams should be fragrance-free and preserved with an eye-safe system.
Supporting data
If you plan claims such as skin looks firmer in four weeks, run a consumer perception study or an instrumental firmness test on your finished product. Supplier data relate to their own test formulas and cannot be transferred directly to yours.
Compatibility
Lipopeptide concentrates are generally compatible with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, niacinamide and other peptides. Avoid strong acids, strong bases, oxidizers and long heating. Keep copper peptides in a separate product.
Who the product is for
Firming products with junction-themed peptides suit customers from their late thirties onward who notice that skin looks less firm and less springy. Speak to them with clear language and a simple routine: serum morning and evening, followed by a moisturizer and daytime sun protection. ## Characteristics
