Description

About fermented green tea oil

Fermented green tea oil is a liquid that dissolves in oils and other lipids. The supplier specification lists creams, serums and balms, and gives a broad pH range for finished products. Most green tea ingredients are water extracts, so an oil-phase version is useful for facial oils, balms and the oil part of creams. Look up the INCI, the carrier oil and the dosage on each lot's CoA.

Two strong themes

Green tea is one of the most trusted plants in skin care, linked with freshness and antioxidant care. Fermentation is a strong trend, especially in Korean and Japanese skin care, where ferments are associated with a smooth, radiant look. An ingredient that brings both together gives a brand a clear, modern story.

Product formats

Facial oils and oil serums

A facial oil with fermented green tea oil, squalane and a light plant oil is the most direct product. It feels fresh and absorbs quickly.

Creams

In a day or night cream, add it to the oil phase. Pair it with a water-phase green tea extract for a complete tea story.

Balms

Cleansing balms and lip balms can carry the oil. A tea cleansing balm is a popular K-beauty format.

Processing

Add the oil to the oil phase before heating, or blend it at room temperature into oil products. Keep heating short, and add tocopherol.

Partners

Squalane, jojoba oil and Oat Seed Oil suit light blends. Fermented Green Tea is our active-grade version of the same theme, and Grape Seed Polyphenols adds a water-phase antioxidant. More oils are listed in the carrier oils catalog.

Scent and color

Tea-based oils can have a light green or golden tone and a mild, grassy scent. Test the color and scent in your base and choose a fresh fragrance if needed.

Testing

Run stability tests on finished products and check odor and color. A panel can rate texture and absorption.

Claims

Use sensory and appearance wording: fresh, radiant, smooth-looking skin; a light, quick-absorbing oil.

A cleansing balm idea

A tea cleansing balm melts on the skin, dissolves makeup and rinses off with water when it contains an emulsifier. The tea and ferment story makes it stand out.

Range ideas

A cleansing balm, a facial oil and a cream make a tea-ferment routine. Soft green packaging and simple leaf illustrations suit the theme.

Shelf life

Store the oil sealed in a cool, dark place, and use older lots first. Smell each lot before use.

Characteristics

Form: liquid. Solubility: oils and other lipids. Listed uses: creams, serums, balms. Theme: green tea and fermentation. INCI, carrier and level: supplier CoA.

Original recipe: green tea cleansing balm, 100 g

Caprylic/capric triglyceride 35.00 g, sunflower seed oil 20.00 g, fermented green tea oil 10.00 g, polyglyceryl-4 oleate 12.00 g, shea butter 10.00 g, candelilla wax 7.00 g, cetyl alcohol 4.00 g, tocopherol 1.00 g, fragrance 1.00 g. Melt the waxes, butter and alcohol with the oils at 80 °C, cool to about 55 °C, add the rest and pour.

Pairing phases

A cream that carries tea in both phases tells a complete story. Use fermented green tea oil in the oil phase and a water-based green tea extract in the water phase. Shoppers who read ingredient lists will see the tea twice, which reinforces the hero. Keep the levels balanced so the scent stays light, and test the color, since two tea ingredients together can tint a white cream.

Directions

For a facial oil, suggest a few drops pressed onto clean skin in the evening, alone or mixed into a cream.

Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.

Storage

Store sealed in a cool place away from light. Close the bottle after use.
