Description

cosmetic appearance support is one of the most used words in skin care, usually meaning skin that looks renewed, smooth and rested. IO Cream and Serum Active Liquid is a water-soluble active with an acidic pH range, listed for creams, serums and care cosmetics in both oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions.

Product data

Water-soluble; compatible with oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions. PH range 3.50 to 5.50. For this ingredient, applications from the card: creams, serums and care cosmetics. For this ingredient, the supplier CoA of each lot confirms the exact INCI, composition and recommended level.

Acidic pH range

The listed range sits on the acidic side. Check the pH after addition and adjust to your target. Carbomers lose viscosity at low pH, so xanthan, cellulose or acid-tolerant polymers are safer.

Water-in-oil emulsions

Water-in-oil emulsions feel richer and more protective than oil-in-water creams. They suit night creams, cold-weather creams and very dry skin. Add the active to the water phase before slowly emulsifying it into the oil phase.

Product formats

Renewal serum

A light serum for evening use.

Night cream

A water-in-oil cream for rich overnight care.

Day cream

An oil-in-water cream for daily use.

Hand cream

A protective cream for dry hands.

Formulating guidance

Add the active during cool-down into the water phase. Pair it with D-Panthenol for comfort, niacinamide for an even-tone message and ceramide NP for barrier support. More ingredients are listed under actives.

Claims

Use cosmetic wording such as renewed-looking, smoother, rested skin. Support numbers with tests on the finished product.

Who the products are for

Customers who want overnight renewal, people with dry or tired-looking skin and those living in cold climates.

Testing

Run stability at room temperature, 40 °C and freeze-thaw, checking pH, viscosity and separation. Water-in-oil emulsions are sensitive to temperature changes.

Packaging

Jars or airless pots for night creams, pumps for day creams, droppers for serums.

Batch quality

Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.

Range planning

A serum, a night cream and a day cream form a renewal routine.

Original recipe: renewal serum, 100 g

Purified water 85.10 g, glycerin 3.00 g, propanediol 3.00 g, IO Cream and Serum Active Liquid 3.00 g as an example level per CoA, niacinamide 2.00 g, xanthan gum 0.30 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.20 g, panthenol 1.50 g, allantoin 0.10 g, preservative 0.80 g, sodium citrate solution 1.00 g. For IO Cream and Serum Active Liquid, disperse xanthan and hyaluronate in the glycols, add water and hydrate. For IO Cream and Serum Active Liquid, add niacinamide, the active, panthenol, allantoin and preservative below 40 °C. Adjust pH to about 5.0.

Combining with exfoliating care

The acidic pH range fits evening routines that focus on renewal. A light serum with the active can follow a gentle exfoliating toner, and a rich night cream completes the routine. Introduce exfoliation slowly and recommend daily sunscreen in the morning.

Sensory design

Water-in-oil creams can feel heavy. Use light esters in the oil phase and test absorption after ten minutes. A rich but non-greasy finish is the goal.

Hand care

Hands in cold weather benefit from water-in-oil textures that resist washing. A hand cream with the active fills a seasonal niche.

Preservation

Confirm the preservative system with a challenge test, especially for water-in-oil emulsions.

Seasonal use

Recommend the water-in-oil night cream in winter and the lighter day cream in summer, both with the same active.

Batch records

Note the pH adjustment used for each batch so production stays repeatable.

Storage

Store the container closed in a cool place away from light.
