Description
Collagen is the most recognized protein name in beauty. In topical products it works at the surface: it forms a light film, holds moisture and makes skin feel smoother and more cushioned. Collagen CLR is a liquid collagen ingredient for skin care, designed for easy use in water-based products.
Product data
Water-soluble liquid concentrate, added to the water phase during cool-down, avoiding prolonged heat. PH range 3.7 to 6.5. The full INCI, collagen source and content are confirmed on the supplier CoA for each lot. Brands that target vegan, vegetarian or halal markets should read the source information carefully before writing the label.
Product formats
Hydrating serum

A light gel for a smoother-looking eye area.
Sheet and hydrogel masks
Masks with collagen are popular as a quick boost before events.
Formulating guidance
Add the liquid during cool-down into the water phase and keep the finished pH within 3.7 to 6.5. Check clarity in transparent products. Protein-based ingredients can support microbial growth, so preserve the product well. Combine with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid for surface hydration, and with a peptide such as acetyl hexapeptide-8 for an expression-line angle. More conditioning concentrates are under actives.
Honest collagen messaging
Topical collagen does not replace the skin's own collagen. Describe the effect accurately: smoother, softer, more hydrated-feeling and plumper-looking skin. This honesty builds trust with experienced customers.
Who buys collagen products
A broad audience from young adults to mature customers. Collagen is a familiar word and an easy entry into appearance-focused cosmetic care.
Testing
Run stability at room temperature and 40 °C, checking odor, clarity and pH. Protein ingredients can have a mild odor; test fragrance coverage.
Packaging
Clear glass shows the clean look of a serum; airless pumps protect creams. Masks need sealed sachets.
Range planning
A collagen line with a serum, a cream and an eye gel is simple and recognizable. A mask can be added as a seasonal product.
Comparing collagen ingredients
Our catalog includes several collagen-based materials. Collagen Amino Acid Complex Liquid offers wide solvent compatibility. Compare CoA documents to choose the right one for each product.
Choosing partner ingredients
A collagen serum gains from a simple, well-built base. Glycerin and a low level of butylene glycol keep it fresh and light, hyaluronic acid adds slip and a plump feel, and panthenol supports comfort. In creams, plant butters and squalane give a cushioned finish that suits the collagen story. Avoid strong acids that push the pH below the range in the supplier specification, and keep alcohol low so the protein stays clear and stable. If you plan a mask, test the essence with the mask fabric or hydrogel, since some materials absorb proteins differently. A small side-by-side test with and without the collagen helps the team describe the sensory difference honestly.
Original recipe: collagen plumping serum, 100 g

Mix the cellulose and hyaluronate into the glycols, then add the water gradually and stir until no particles remain. Below 40 °C add the collagen, panthenol, allantoin and preservative. Adjust pH to about 5.5.
