Description

Argireline Amplified in its original form

Argireline Amplified is the branded Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 solution from Lubrizol, the company behind the Argireline family of peptides. The supplier specification is that original raw material: a clear aqueous solution of the hexapeptide preserved with sodium benzoate, sold in the manufacturer composition and backed by the certificate of analysis for each lot. It belongs to our peptide solutions group, where every item arrives pre-dissolved and ready for the cool-down phase.

When the original name matters

A finished product that prints Argireline Amplified in its marketing needs the branded raw material behind it, and many retailers ask for the original supplier documents before listing a product. Brands that only need the INCI peptide can work with the IO Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 Amplified Solution, which carries the same INCI under our own name at a lower price. The decision is about paperwork and label language rather than chemistry, so it helps to settle it before the first pilot batch.

The peptide in plain terms

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a six amino acid sequence, acetylated at one end, that the cosmetic industry uses for the look of expression lines on the forehead and around the eyes. It is water-soluble, colorless and essentially odorless, so it disappears into clear serums. Claims on a finished product should stay cosmetic, about smoother-looking or more relaxed-looking skin, and any figures from manufacturer studies belong in the supplier literature rather than on the label.

Adding it to a formula

Weigh the solution into the water phase of a serum or gel at room temperature, or add it to an emulsion after it has cooled below 40 °C. Mix gently without high shear for long periods. Follow the use level in the lot documents. A finished pH around 5 to 6.5 keeps the peptide comfortable, and the sodium benzoate in the solution prefers that mildly acidic range as well.

Partners in expression-line formulas

The peptide is often layered with other expression-line peptides such as Pentapeptide-18 solution, with hyaluronic acid for slip and with glycerin or panthenol for comfort. It tolerates most gums, carbomers neutralized before addition and light esters. Keep it away from high levels of ethanol, strong oxidizers and extended heating.

Appearance and specification

The solution is clear and colorless to very pale, with little or no odor, and it mixes with water in any ratio. The active CAS number is 616204-22-9. The certificate of analysis for the lot lists appearance, pH of the material and the microbiological results, and it is the document to file with your batch records. If your quality team keeps an approved supplier list, the manufacturer name and lot number on that certificate are the details they will ask for.

Choosing between solution and powder

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is also sold in dry form, which suits brands that want to set their own peptide concentration. The amplified solution saves the dissolving step and arrives at a fixed composition, which keeps batch-to-batch work simple for small production runs and for labs that do not weigh milligram amounts of peptide.

Recipe: expression-line serum, 100 g

Water 84.4 g, Argireline Amplified solution 5 g, glycerin 3 g, sodium hyaluronate solution (1%) 4 g, panthenol 1 g, xanthan gum 0.3 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 1 g, sodium gluconate 0.1 g, citric acid solution (10%) 1.2 g. Disperse the xanthan in glycerin, add water and hydrate, add panthenol, gluconate and hyaluronate, then the peptide solution and the preservative. Adjust pH to about 5.5 with the citric solution.

Storage

Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool place away from light, and avoid repeated warming. Use it within the shelf life on the certificate. Record the manufacturer lot number with each batch you make, so the original documents stay linked to your finished product.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the original Argireline Amplified?

Yes. It is the branded Lubrizol material in its original composition, shipped with the lot certificate of analysis.

How does it relate to the IO Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 Amplified Solution?

Same INCI peptide. Choose the supplier specification when your brief or documents call for the branded original; choose the IO version when the INCI alone is enough.

Can I use it in a cream?

Yes. Add it to the cooled emulsion below 40 °C and stir until uniform.
