Description
This ingredient at a glance
IO Anti-Age Care Active Powder is a powder that dissolves in water. The card lists a broad set of face care uses: anti-age creams, lifting creams, restorative night creams, matting and protective day creams, under-eye care, and care products for sensitive, dry and irritated skin. The card does not give a detailed composition, so the supplier data sheet and CoA are the key documents for the INCI name, recommended level, pH range and claims support.
Working with a supplier-defined active
When a product card gives only the basics, build the formula around what is known and confirm the rest with the supplier. Here the known points are clear: it is a water-soluble powder, and it suits face creams across several categories, from rich night creams to matte day creams. That makes it easy to place in an emulsion's water phase.
Product formats
Anti-age and lifting creams
Add it to the water phase of firming-look day and night creams.
Restorative night creams
Rich night creams with lipids and humectants carry it well.
Matte day creams
The card lists matting and protective day creams, a good fit for combination skin.
Under-eye care
Light eye creams and gels for a smoother-looking eye area are listed.
Sensitive and dry skin
Comforting creams for sensitive and dry skin are another listed use. Keep these formulas short and fragrance-free.
Processing
Dissolve the powder in the water phase at room temperature. If the data sheet warns about heat, dissolve it in a small amount of water and add it during cool-down. Check the pH of the finished product against the supplier range.
Good partners
IO Texturizing Starch Powder gives day creams a matte finish. Oat seed oil suits comforting creams for dry skin. Browse more actives in the actives catalog.
Testing
Run stability tests at different temperatures and check pH, viscosity and odor. A consumer panel can rate comfort, matte finish or smoothness depending on the product type.
Claims
Keep claims cosmetic and supported by supplier data or your own tests: skin looks smoother and firmer; skin feels comfortable; matte, fresh finish.

Day and night logic
Day creams should feel light, sit well under makeup and help control shine on oily areas. Night creams can be richer and more nourishing. Using the same active in both lets a brand build a simple day and night pair with a common story, while the texture changes with the time of day.
Documentation
File the supplier data sheet and any claims data with the product file so retailers and contract manufacturers can see where each statement comes from.
Range ideas
A matte day cream, a rich night cream and an eye cream make a compact face care trio.
