Description
About Oligopeptide-76 Powder
Oligopeptide-76 is a synthetic peptide sold here as a dry powder by the gram. Oligopeptide is the INCI term for peptides of a moderate chain length, and the number identifies this particular sequence. A CAS number is not assigned or verified in our records, so we list it as N/A rather than guess. What our product record does provide is a clear list of uses, centered on two audiences that often overlap: people with oily, shiny-looking skin and people whose skin feels sensitive and looks red after stress.
Properties
The powder is water-soluble and forms a clear solution, which makes it easy to add to light gels, toners and serums, the textures that oily skin prefers. In finished products, brands position it for a more balanced, matte and clear-looking complexion and for skin that feels more comfortable and looks less red. Keep claims focused on appearance and feel; this is a cosmetic ingredient, not a remedy for skin conditions.
Applications
The record lists creams, serums, balms and care cosmetics; sebum-balancing, anti-shine and clarifying products; products for the look of facial redness and for comfort on sensitive skin; and products that help the skin surface feel restored and protected. Typical finished goods are mattifying gel creams, clarifying serums, calming toners and light balms. It pairs well with Niacinamide for shine control and with IO Soothing Plant Active Liquid for comfort. Compare more dry actives in our peptide powders section.
How to dissolve and add it
Weigh the powder with a balance reading to 0.001 g. Dissolve it fully in a small amount of distilled water until clear. Add the dissolved peptide to the cooled batch below 40 °C with gentle mixing and do not reheat. Take the use level from the supplier documentation for your lot.
Textures for oily and sensitive skin
Oily skin favors light, quickly absorbed textures: water gels, gel creams and fluids with little or no heavy oil. Sensitive skin favors short ingredient lists and no strong fragrance. A product that serves both can be built on a sodium polyacrylate or cellulose gel with a small amount of light ester, zinc PCA for a matte feel and panthenol for comfort. Packaging in a pump keeps the gel clean and lets users dose a small amount.
Compatibility
Oligopeptide-76 is compatible with niacinamide, zinc PCA, panthenol, allantoin, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, plant extracts and other peptides. It suits gels, serums, toners and oil-in-water emulsions. Avoid strong acids, strong bases, oxidizers and long heating. If you add exfoliating acids for a clarifying product, keep the pH within a range the peptide tolerates and test stability.

Phase A: distilled water 87.60 g, glycerin 2.00 g, niacinamide 4.00 g, zinc PCA 0.50 g, panthenol 1.00 g. Stir until dissolved. Phase B: sodium polyacrylate 0.90 g sprinkled in with stirring until a smooth gel forms; then isononyl isononanoate 2.00 g. Apply a thin layer morning and evening.
Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
Storage
Keep the powder sealed in a cool, dry place away from light and humidity. Let the container reach room temperature before opening. Ships from Florida in gram packs.
